Without the realization of one‘s identity with the Soul, the Self, there shall be no liberation.+

Rig Veda: ~ 'Prajnanam Brahma'- Consciousness is the ultimate reality or Brahman or God in truth.

God in truth is the Atman, the Self. Atman is present in the form of consciousness.

Do not accept any other God other than Atman not worship other than Atman.

Let these words be inscribed in your subconscious.

Nothing is real but God. Nothing Matters but love for God in truth. God in truth is everywhere and in everything.

God in truth is hidden by the illusory universe. God in truth alone is and all else is an illusion.

Consciousness is God in truth. God in truth exists prior to form, the illusory time, and space.

Brihadaranyaka Upanishad says: "He who worships the deities as entities entirely separate from the Self does not know the truth. For the Gods, he is like a pasu (beast)". (1. 4. 10)
That is why Sage Sankara:~ VC-v6- Let erudite scholars quote all the scripture, let Gods be invoked through sacrifices, let elaborate rituals be performed, let personal Gods be propitiated---yet, without the realization of one‘s identity with the Self, there shall be no liberation for the individual, not even in the lifetimes of a hundred Brahmas put together.
Do not believe in God as a separate entity. Realize God is the cause of the existence of the universe in which we exist. God should not be worshipped but realized right in this very life, not in the next life or next world.
Religions place God as diverse ideas and beliefs. Every religious believer has a different idea of God. Every man has a different idea of the real. There is a need to accept and verify the facts about the religious Gods before accepting anything as God. There is in religion the element of imagination and sentiments. The ordinary man is happy because religion gives him satisfaction, and pleases his taste.
Every sect and creed concocts a God to suit its own purposes. Belief in such concocted Gods is a great hindrance in the pursuit of truth. The man himself suggests that there must be a God. It is an auto-suggestion.
Belief in religion weakens as the man pays more attention to the facts of his practical life within the practical world.
God in Truth cannot be found in churches and temple mosques. As the seeker goes deeper in self-search he comes to the conclusion that religious Gods are not the real God.
People have dedicated their lives to their religion. Clearly, so many wasted years of unanswered prayers. When the falsity of the religion is exposed by realizing the God in truth is not the religious God people believe and worship then they will lose faith in their religion anymore, as whatever faith they had about their religion vanishes.”

Remember:~

You must first train yourself to think and reason from a non-dualistic perspective then only when you read about Advaitic reality, the true meaning becomes apparent.

It is not possible to give a sudden revelation of Advaita in one or two letters, or in an interview or two: a course of personal mental training must be undergone. Hence reading my blogs and posting umpteen times is necessary for the seeker to make the subconscious Soulcentric.

All my blogs are not only reading the material but also subconscious suggestions.

You, yourself must do the work of realizing Truth by using your own judgment and reason. Nobody else, no guru can do it for you.

Everyone has not got the capacity to know Truth very few have: but some among these few are so sharp that they have only to hear it explained by proper guidance when they grasp it at once. They have only to stabilize their illumination.

The Gnani will only point out the truth to the seeker. Sharing Gnana with the whole of humankind is the only goal of the Gnani.

Most people think he wears a yellow robe and his perpetual silence and his yogic activities and his monkish lifestyle but they do not judge by asking "Is what he says true?”

The Atmic method is to discriminate between real and unreal and drop the unreal by realizing the real.

Remember:~

Reading my posts & blogs often propels the reader into the thinking process.

By reading the repetition of the words on this subject the inner whirling in the subconscious takes place which replaces the old thoughts based on the ego by accepting the Soulcentric truth.

Perfect understanding removes all sorts of obstacles in the pursuit of truth. Only through constant repetition of words in my posts will make one think differently but it also creates more doubts and confusion in his subconscious and his inner urge to know the truth even more intense. And it also helps to overcome some of our conditioning, which we have inherited from parental grooming and circumstances.

Repetition of reading the words of wisdom assists a seeker to help to focus his attention from the form (world) to the formless (Soul or consciousness), which is very much necessary in pursuit of truth. And repetition is an effective tool and has an effect on the subconscious mind, which is not receptive to receiving new truth because it is conditioned to receive only a logical conclusion based on ego.

It takes time for the seeker to gain the perfect understanding of ‘what is the truth’ and ‘’what is untruth’. It takes time for the Soul, the innermost Self to wake up from the sleep of ignorance, and it takes time for one realizes the truth, which is beyond form, time, and space.

The nature of the Soul, the Spirit is like a state of sleep. But sleep is the unconsciousness of the objects whereas Self-awareness is conscious awareness of the Soul, which is present in the form of the consciousness in the midst of the object.

The reason, in respect of Ultimate Reality, is like the impossible conception of a sleeping man trying to know what he is about, without waking up. As sleep is to waking, so is ordinary life to the state of realization.

The seeker should be aware of everything that is untrue: stick to the truth and he shall succeed, maybe slowly, but surely.

Remember: ~

Agreeing and disagreeing is nothing to do with the Soul, the Self. Agreeing and disagreeing are possible from the dualistic perspective.

Self-knowledge will not arise from the exchange of views and opinions and arguments. The accumulated knowledge is not a yardstick, to realize the truth beyond form, time, and space.

The words that mean different things to different people take it or leave it, it does not matter. It is what's behind the words, between the lines that matters.

Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana is meant for the class, not for the mass. The Advaitic path is not suited for those who indulge in unnecessary argument from their own standpoint and indulge in the provocation.

In the path of wisdom discussion of the unimportant subject matter is a great hindrance. The path of truth is the path of verification. Nothing has to be accepted as truth without verification. Agreeing to disagree causes unnecessary friction. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

Advaitic Gnana cannot come if anything is left out. The whole universe must be included in your inquiry.+

Advaitic Gnana cannot come if anything is left out. The whole universe must be included in your inquiry.

Sage Sankara: ~ VC-63- "Without knowing and examining the universe, one can’t know the Truth, as the idea that the external world exists, won't go. It can go only by an inquiry into the nature of the external world.

The Soul becomes the whole universe (duality in waking). The whole universe becomes the Soul (nonduality in deep sleep).

When the ‘Self is not you but the Soul why you are thinking of the physical Guru worshipping him? Such an act keeps you permanently in ignorance. Come out of the religious conditioning by realizing the ‘Self is not you but the ‘Self’ is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

If you are unable to come out of the Guru/disciple game you are not qualified for Advaitic wisdom.

The ‘I’ itself is the universe and the universe is the dualistic illusion. Without realizing the ‘I’ is the universe it is impossible to realize the ‘Self’ hidden by the ‘I’.

Sage Sankara says you must first know what is before you. If you cannot know that, what else can you know or understand? If you give up the external world in your inquiry, you cannot get the whole truth.

That is why Sage Sankara Says: ~ VC-63- Without causing the objective universe to vanish and without knowing the truth of the ‘Self’ how is one to achieve Liberation by the mere utterance of the word Brahman? — It would result merely in an effort of speech.

Remember:~

Sage Sankara says: ~ What is accepted without a proper inquiry will not lead a person to the final goal. On the contrary, such acceptance will result only in evil, something which is detrimental to our spiritual progress.

Seekers of truth should not believe blindly in traditional orthodox Advaita or nonduality without verifying all the facts from every angle. One has to reflect through reasoning, over and over again without getting tired of the process. (Commentary on Vedanta-sutra).

There is no hope for those who call themselves realists because they are unwilling to make inquiry into what is real. The true seeker of truth analyses and inquires, not relying on first impressions, and hence he is fit for the path of Advaitic wisdom.

They have to know that what they are saying is true. There are so many conflicting teachings by many gurus, that one gets confused as to which are true. They will be unable to prove because they do not know the proper test of truth they preach what is written is books with their own interpretation without verifying them.

There is no hope for those who call themselves realists because they are unwilling to make inquiry into what is real. The true seeker of truth analyses and inquires, not relying on first impressions, and hence he is fit for the path of Advaitic wisdom.

Why does one start by assuming that anything he knows is true? Many things he regards many things unconsciously as true because he enjoys them or is pleased or satisfied by them. But without verification, nothing has to be accepted as truth. Advaitic wisdom gives uncontradictable truth which is the rational truth, scientific truth, and ultimate truth.

To realize the Advaitic truth is the seeker's aim, which is quite different from the opinions of dualistic egocentric schools. Advaitic truth is Soulcentric truth and uncontradictable truth. All the various views are mere opinions and have nothing to do with the ascertainment of the ultimate truth, which is beyond the experience of birth, life, death, and the world.

In the Advaitic path, the seeker of truth has to analyze the whole world; think consistently about it. He has to exercise his thinking faculty and inquire continually; discrimination is essential; this practice is the only way to grasp Advaitic truth.

Gnana is that knowledge, knowing which everything else becomes known. Truth can be known by its being impossible of contradiction and depending entirely on what is not the self. The seeker of truth has to go to the very root of things. He rejects everything which is untrue by Soulcentric reasoning." : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

People think that by taking sannyasa or becoming a monk they get enlightenment or freedom but not so.+

People think that by taking sannyasa or becoming a monk they get enlightenment or freedom but not so.

One need not be a monk, a sanyasi, or a swami to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.

Religious rituals and scriptural mastery, are not a qualification to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. Monkhood and sannyasa are the greatest obstacles in truth-realization, which is beyond form, time, and space.

There is no need to walk in the mountains in search of the truth. There is no need to meet any Gurus. There is no need to renounce family life. There is no need to study the scriptures.

There is no need for glorifying the Gurus. There is no need to spend the fortune to please the Gurus. Going to the mountains, searching for a Guru, renouncing the family life, studying the scriptures, and glorifying the personal Gods and Gurus are the greatest obstacle on the path of wisdom.

Guru, Swami, Yogi, Sadhu, and Avatar belong to religious paths. Religious paths are paths meant for the ignorant who blindly accept their experience the birth, life, death, and the world as a reality because the universe is the product of ignorance.

When wisdom dawns then the unreal nature of the world in which you exist is exposed. Thus, whatever experiences take place within the world in which you exist are bound to be a falsehood.

The Guru, Swami, Yogi, Sadhu, and Avatar have nothing to do with the ultimate truth or Brahman because they are based on the false self (ego), and false experience (waking).
The Path of wisdom is only for those who are seriously in search of ultimate truth or Brahman. Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana is the knowledge of the truth, which is beyond form, time, and space.

Sage Sankara says: ~ “Though I wear these robes of a Sanyasin, it is only for the sake of bread."

Thus it proves that Sage Sankara meant, taking sannyasa and wearing the religious robes to earn bread. Sanyasa is not a qualification to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.

As per the scriptures, the three "Ashrams" or stages in life were originally intended for three grades of intelligence thus:~

v Religion:- Low intellects had to do 'karmas' works, ritual actions, chanting of mantras and indulging in bhajans and prayers, etc.

v Middle intellects:- Yoga: taking yellow robes, going to caves, ashrams, etc.

v High intellects:- Wisdom who wanted truth are concerned with no external rites or sannyasa but depend solely on the intelligent inquiry for their path.

Sage Sankara page 482:- On Gnani: "The knower of Brahman wears no signs. Gives up the insignia of a monk's life…his signs are not manifest, nor his behavior."

When the knower of Brahman (Gnani) wears no signs it means he does not identify himself as a Guru or a yogi or teacher or Swami.

If someone has acquired Self-knowledge and shares his acquired knowledge with others, they cannot say that there is anything for them to do.

Everyone has to discover afresh for himself by verifying all the facts. Each one has to grasp assimilate and realize it until he gets a firm conviction of the ultimate truth or Brahman.

Self-knowledge cannot be attained by taking sannyasa. Those who think by taking says they will be befitted are a hallucination.

Taking sanyasi or becoming a monk blocks one from realizing the truth, which is hidden by ignorance.

There is only one Reality to be known, the same for all seekers, but the ways to it, are hidden by religion. Self-discovery is the only way, toward non-dual Absolute without any religious doctrines, which will help the seekers to unfold the mystery of the illusion in which we all are searching for the truth of our true existence.

There is no need to take sannyasa or become and monk or yogi in order to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

Remember:~
No one becomes a Gnani by taking sannyasa or wearing religious robes or by mastering the scriptures or identifying with the religious symbol. Religious robe and religious symbols are not the means to Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.
Blind faith is an obstacle in the pursuit of truth. The seeker should not waste his time on it, he should primarily reflect on the Soul, the innermost self; not on the ‘I’.
The Soul, which is present in the form of the spirit (consciousness), is ever formless, timeless, and spaceless existence.
Sruti says: ~ "brahmavit brahmaiva bhavati" - He who knows Brahman becomes Brahman Itself. In the Advaita understanding of this statement, the "becoming" is only metaphorical. It is not as if something that was not Brahman suddenly becomes Brahman. Rather, "realizing Brahman" means a removal of the ignorance about one's own essential nature as Brahman. Thus, to "know Brahman" is to "be Brahman".

The one who has realized the identity with the Soul, the innermost self with the Brahman is a Gnani, one who is liberated even while embodied. Such a realization should not and cannot just be a literal understanding of Upanishadic Mahavakyas.
Remember:~

If you are aiming to be a master, sanyasi, monk, Gurus, or teacher, you will never reach your destination.

Aiming to be a master, sanyasi, monk, Gurus or teacher keeps you in the domain of ignorance.
By becoming a master, sanyasi, monk, Gurus, or teacher the ignorance will not vanish.
Without getting rid of ignorance wisdom will not dawn. Aiming to be a master, sanyasi, monk, Gurus or teacher is religious or propagated ideas, it is for the religious-minded people not for those who are seeking the truth of their true existence.
Advaitic Wisdom will not dawn by becoming some Gurus or yogi’s disciple or by studying some Guru's teaching.
People who are emotionally stuck with some Gurus and their teaching without verifying their validity will never be able to cross the threshold of the dualistic illusion.
Perfect understanding of ‘what is ‘what leads to Self-awareness. A Gnani is neither anyone’s Gurus nor anyone’s disciple. He respects all the Sage of the past and he highlights good points in their teaching he also highlights the obstacles, which block the realization of the ultimate truth.
A Gnani shares his knowledge with the fellow seekers not to make them his followers, but only to direct them if they are interested in traveling beyond form, time, and space. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

Sage Sankara pokes fun at ascetics and points out that all their austerities do not cause desires to go.+

Sage Sankara, is one of the greatest geniuses of all time. This world owes him a deep debt of gratitude. He not only consolidated the classical values of life but also spiritual wisdom.

Sage Sankara is the only Sage who has final authority on the Advaitic truth. The Advaitic truth is rational truth and scientific truth without dogmas.

Unfortunately, few philosophers in the world are as misunderstood and misinterpreted as Sage  Sankara. Ironically, most of the harm came from his admirers and followers of Advaitic orthodoxy because they propagated rituals as a means to attain lower knowledge which is meant for those who believed in the physical existence (universe or waking) as a reality.

The Advaitic orthodoxy is dualistic and it is not the means to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. Advaitic orthodoxy is meant for the ignorant mass that is unfit to grasp the highest truth.

Thus, the Advaitic orthodoxy is nothing to do with the ultimate truth or Brahman. Those who have chosen the Atmic path have to discard orthodoxy in order to get the pure essence of Advaita.

Advaitic orthodoxy blocks the realization of ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth.

Thus, if one wants Advaitic truth or wisdom he has to drop the path of Advaitic orthodoxy, which is meant for the traditionalists who take the practical life within the practical world as reality.

Advaitic Orthodoxy is not the means to acquire Self-Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana, because the Advaitic orthodoxy is based on the experience of the birth, life, death, and the world, whereas the Soul, the Self is birthless, deathless, and the world less because it is ever nondual.

When Sage Sankara declares the world is an illusion, then it is erroneous to hold the experience of birth., life, and death, which takes place in the unreal world as real.

When Sage Sankara says, the world is an illusion, then why do you hold the experience of birth, life, and death, which takes place in the unreal world as real?

The Advaitic orthodoxy is meant for the ignorant populace, which believes the world as real.

The path of wisdom is meant for the class, not for the mass.

According to Advaita Vedanta, the Veda addresses itself to two kinds of audiences - the ordinary ones who desire the transitory heaven and other pleasures obtained as a result of ritual sacrifices, and more advanced seeker who seeks to know Brahman. Thus, the Purva mimam. sa, with its emphasis on the karma kanda of the Vedas, is meant for the first audience, to help lead its followers along the way. However, the Vedanta, with its emphasis on the Gnana kanda, is meant for those who wish to go beyond such transient pleasures.

First Mundaka - Chapter 2 (8) - Fools, dwelling in darkness, but wise in their own conceit and puffed up with vain scholarship, wander about, being afflicted by many ills, like blind men led by the blind.

First Mundaka - Chapter 2 (9) - Children, immersed in ignorance in various ways, flatter themselves, saying: We have accomplished life's purpose. Because these performers of karma do not know the Truth owing to their attachment, they fall from heaven, misery-stricken, when the fruit of their work is exhausted.

First Mundaka - Chapter 2 (10) - Ignorant fools, regarding sacrifices and humanitarian works as the highest, do not know any higher good. Having enjoyed their reward on the heights of heaven, gained by good works, they enter again this world or a lower one.

All the orthodox ideas were rejected by Sage Sankara. There is no need to indulge in rituals, in order to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman. There is no need to study philosophy, in order to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman then why indulge in studying philosophy?

Sage Sankara pokes fun at ascetics and points out that all their austerities do not cause desires to go. (Altar Flowers" Page 205, v.2 P.207 v.4)

Sage Sankara pointed out that those rituals could in no way bring about wisdom, much less moksha.

Sage Sankara says the rewards of the rituals were not a matter of direct realization. The Advaitic wisdom is based on personal realization.

The orthodox Advaitin believes that rituals alone would lead one to higher levels of attainment. Further, the deities would reward only those entitled to perform the rituals alone. The entitlement involved caste, creed, and other parameters.

The scriptural authority and value of rituals are part of the Advaitic orthodoxy, which is meant for ignorant people.

The Advaitic wisdom of Sage Sankara is nothing to do with religion, caste, rituals, worships, yoga, and other practices. Therefore, an obvious disparity between Sage Sankara‘s path of Gnana and the path of Karma. The path of Gnana is meant for the advanced seeker of truth and the path of Karma is meant for the ignorant populace.

Advaitic Orthodoxy is meant for the ignorant and ordinary ones who desire the transitory heaven and other pleasures obtained as a result of ritual sacrifices. :

Advaitic orthodoxy is meant for the ignorant mass that is unfit to grasp the highest truth. Thus, the Advaitic orthodoxy is nothing to do with the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth. Those who have chosen the Atmic path have to discard orthodoxy in order to get the pure essence of Advaita.

Sage Sankara disagrees with Buddhists who say, there is nothing - a nonentity. Sage  Sankara believes there is some reality, even though things are not what they appear to be. If one knows the truth, he will know what to do to find inspiration for action. The seeker of truth‘s subject is to know what is it that is Real.

Buddhism says ~ “All things are illusory and nothing exists. However, Sage Sankara avers that it is not so. It says that the universe, of course,  is illusory, but there is Brahman (consciousness), that exists forming the very substratum of all things (illusion or universe)”.

In the context of Advaita Vedanta: ~ Jagat (the world) is not different from Brahman; however, Brahman is different from Jagat

It has not been possible to preach Advaitic Truth entirely free from the settings of dualistic weakness it has not been more operative and useful to mankind at large because only a few will be able to grasp and realize it.

To realize the Advaitic Truth in a freer and fuller scope the seeker has to realize that form, time and space are one in essence. And that essence is consciousness. And the Soul, the innermost Self is present in the form of consciousness.

To realize the Advaitic truth the seeker has to be free from all superstitions and orthodox contaminations. The seeker  dedicated himself  to acquiring Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana alone: ~Santthosh Kumaar

A Guru does not become a Gnani just by mastering the scripture or mastering the Sanskrit language.+

Ignorant become wiser when he realzes with a full and firm conviction that the Self is the Soul and sees the universe in which he exists as an illusion.  A Guru does not become a Gnani just by mastering the scripture or mastering the Sanskrit language.

Katha Upanishad 1:2:23 The Soul cannot be realized through hearing a scholarly explanation of the discourses, not even by the intellect.

Sage Goudpada: ~ To establish the truth of Non-duality by sheer reasoning alone. He begins by defining "What is real?" "What is unreal?" etc, because that is the right way to discuss or teach. People must first know what they are talking about. (Manduka Karika)

All the philosophies are a mental fabrication. There has never been a single doctrine by which one could enter the true essence of things.

Sage Sankara clearly says:~ Neither studying philosophy nor by worship as many gods nor observe ceremonies nor by singing devotional hymns nor by uttering mantra nor by mastering the scriptures liberation comes without realizing the Oneness.

Katha Upanishad 1:3:6 “Through the knowledge of the Soul, God, one is pure and clean constantly.” Neither by reading the book nor by taking a bath at a holy place has one become pure. Inner purity is possible when one remains in constant touch with the Soul. Constant Soul Consciousness is the real purity.

All the interpretation of different scriptural scholars is an arena of conflicting interpretations.

All the gurus of the east and west interpret Advaita from a dualistic standpoint or orthodox point of view and they are still dealing with words, not truth.  It proves that they have not understood the Advaitic wisdom of Sage Sankara.

Criticism can only arise, disagreement can only happen, and contradictory interpretations can only occur when men have failed to grasp Sage Sankara’s Advaitic wisdom.

It all depends on seekers' capacity to grasp the Advaitic wisdom of Sage Sankara, which is above words and above "interpretation."

Remember that only a few of those who have understood Sage Sankara’s Advaitic wisdom for them contradictory interpretations will never arise.

There will be no two among them, only one. The only test of the correctness of any interpretation of Sage Sankara is whether it tends towards non-duality or not, whether its author has grasped non-duality or not.

Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana cannot be surmised by merely reading the Vedas and Upanishads.

Ashtavakra:~There is no wisdom whatsoever in the scriptures-just a collection of words.

Remember:~

Sage  Sankara: ~ 'Like a servant who carries a lamp in front of you to find your way, and you have found it, so becomes the Veda to that person. What is the Veda? ~ utterances of those who have known the Truth. Here is one who has known the Truth; why should he or she depend upon the Veda further? Actual realization takes you beyond books. At a certain stage, books become a botheration. The Upanishad itself says that the 'words are only so much of distraction for such minds'

The Upanishad itself:~ vacho viglapanam h tat~ Words are only so much of distraction for such minds'.

Someone posing as a Gnani is not a Gnani. If someone poses himself as a direct disciple of some Guru is not a Gnani. Those who pose themselves as Gnanis are not Gnanis. A Gnani never poses himself as a Guru, a swami, a sadhu or a yogi, or some Guru’s disciple. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

First Mundaka - Chapter 2 (10) - Ignorant fools, regarding sacrifices and humanitarian works as the highest, do not know any higher good.+

Religions hold birth, life, death, and the world as a reality. From the ultimate standpoint, the world in which we exist is an illusion created out of the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. Advaitic sect holds the world (illusion) as a reality whereas Sage Sankara says the world as an illusion.

The individual experience of birth, life, death, rebirth, sin, karma and personal gods and rituals belongs to the illusion.
Advaitic religious sect is a path meant for the ignorant populace, which is incapable of grasping the Advaitic wisdom hidden by the Maya or illusion.
The seeker must know the difference between religion and spirituality. Many people think the religion itself as Spirituality or Adyathma.

Religious orthodox think that through their good karma and performing rituals they get moksha but it is not so

The Karma Theory is the theory of ignorance and is meant for the ignorant populace. Karma (Action) will not dispel ignorance itself. Karma itself is based on ignorance Only Self-Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana will destroy ignorance.

Sage Sankara says:~ the world as unreal. Therefore, how actions performed in the unreal world can get Moksha or freedom. Therefore there is a need to know the fact that, the Self is not physical but the Self is the Spirit to understand and assimilate and realize the truth beyond physicality.

First Mundaka - Chapter 2 (10) - Ignorant fools, regarding sacrifices and humanitarian works as the highest, do not know any higher good. Having enjoyed their reward on the heights of heaven, gained by good works, they still remain in ignorance of the Atman the real God.

As a person, one performs rituals throughout his life.  The person who performs rituals and aspires for rewards will view the world in which he exists as a reality. However, the Soul, the Self unborn eternal hidden by the world in which he exists.  From the standpoint of the Soul, the world in which he exists is merely an illusion.

The scriptures dealing with rituals, rewards, etc. are therefore addressed to an ignorant person.

First Mundaka - Chapter 2 (8) - Fools, dwelling in darkness, but wise in their own conceit and puffed up with vain scholarship, wander about, being afflicted by many ills, like blind men led by the blind.

Remember:~

The ‘Self’ is not you but the Self is the Soul, which is present in the form of the consciousness. The karma theory is based on the birth entity whereas the Soul is birthless and deathless because it is the ever-formless, timeless and spaceless existence. The Soul, the innermost ‘Self’ is not limited to you because it pervades everything and everywhere in the world in which you exist.

The Karma theory is based on form, time, and space. Without the form, time, and space the doer, doing and the world cease to exist.

From the standpoint of the Soul, form, time and space are an illusion. If the form, time, and space are an illusion the doer, doing and the world are bound to be an illusion. Thus, the karma theory is based on the illusory reality that is bound to falsehood.

The individual experiences within the practical world are a reality only within the waking experience but the waking experience itself is an illusion created out of consciousness. If the waking experience is a mere illusion then practical life within the practical world is bound to be an illusion.

The karma theory is not meant for those who have chosen the religious and yogic paths which are based on the birth entity whereas the Atmic path is pure spirituality based on the unborn Soul, the  Self, which is ever nondual.

Sage Goudpada says: - The merciful Veda teaches karma and Upasana to people of lower and middling intellect while Jnana is taught to those of higher intellect.

The Atmic path or the path of wisdom is an independent path. The Soul has no karma, therefore; the karma theory is nothing to do with the Soul, which is birthless and deathless.

Thus, the experience of birth, life, death, and the world is a dualistic illusion. The Advaitic orthodox people are stuck with the karma theory and rituals are stuck with the theory meant for the lower mindset think by glorifying their guru and conceptual god and indulging in all sorts non-Vedic (Puranic) rituals they get Moksha. :~Santthosh Kumaar
