Millions of people all over the world have been killed and being killed in the name of religion and God. This is because people are not aware of the ultimate truth of their true existence.

People take their inherited blind belief as to the ultimate truth without verifying the validity of their belief.

Does God exist or not is the question that succeeds not only dividing people but also creates a tug of war within every individual thinker. Ironically, if one believes in the concept of God then nothing else matters, and if one is an atheist, too nothing else matters.

Those who have implicit faith in God bow their head in submission to what they call divine will. They believe the world is a testing ground and sorrows must be borne with patience to prove their love to God.

On the other hand, the Atheists claim the whole world is a random creation arising, so to speak from chemical gravy that is accidental. Both these arguments are based on the ‘false ‘Self’’ (ego) within the false experience (waking).

On the base of the Soul, the ‘Self, the waking experience itself is merely an illusion. The man and his experience of the world are a reality within the waking experience. The waking experience is merely a dream witnessed by the Soul.

Thus, all the physical-based theories are mere imagination based on the false ‘Self’ within the false experience. The formless substance and witness of the false experience, which is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness is real and eternal.

God is not physical. God is present in the form of the Spirit. The Spirit is the cause of the world and the Spirit itself is uncaused.

From the standpoint of the Spirit, the form, time, space, and name are merely an illusion. The spirit alone is real and all else is an illusion. In reality, the Spirit (God in truth) and matter (the world in which we exist) are one.

The dualistic worship of "God” is only for the ignorant populace. The God in truth is only Atman, the ‘Self’. In reality, there is no duality, no differentiation. Only Atman exists.

The Vedas confirm God is Atman (Spirit), the ‘Self’.

Rig Veda: ~ The Atman (Soul or Spirit) is the cause; Atman is the support of all that exists in this universe. May ye never turn away from the Atman the Self’. May ye never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman?" (10:48, 5)

Rig-Veda 1-164-46 and Y.V 32-1 mention that God is “One”.

Rig Veda declares God is ‘ONE’ and God is Atman, then why believe and worship in place of the real God.

Brihad Upanishad: ~ “If you think there is another entity, whether man or God there is no truth."

Bhagavad Gita: ~ ‘Brahmano hi pratisthaham’ ~ Brahman (God) is considered the all-pervading consciousness (Spirit), which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material. (14.27).

When Bhagavad Gita says, God is considered the all-pervading consciousness (Spirit) which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material then nothing has to be accepted as God other than consciousness.

Lord Krishna Says Ch ~V: ~ “Those who know the Self in truth.". The last two words (tattvataha) are usually ignored by pundits, but they make all the difference between the ordinary concept of God and the truth about God.

The famous peace invocation of Isa Upanishad says: ~

Om Purna- madah, purna-midam purnat-purnam-udacyate Purnaysa purna-madaya purna-meva-vasisyate

This means ~ All this is full /from fullness, fullness comes when fullness is taken from fullness/ fullness remains.

This belief is all-comprehensive and all-absorbing. There is nothing that is not God.

One of Sage Sankara’s missions was to wean people away from the ritualistic approach advocated by Mimamsakas and to project wisdom (jnana) as the means of liberation in the light of Upanishad teachings.

Sage Sankara severely criticized the ritualistic attitude and those who advocated such practices. However, the texts that combined rituals with wisdom (jnana_karma_samucchaya) more in favor of the Mimamsaka position came into vogue, projecting Sankara as the rallying force of the doctrine.

Religion, religious Gods rituals, and sacrifices deal with lower knowledge. The Sages of Truth ignored religion, religious Gods, rituals, and sacrifices and went in search of the truth of their true existence.

Religion, religious Gods, rituals, and sacrifices are unsafe rafts for crossing the sea of ignorance which is the cause of experiencing birth, life, death, and the world as a reality. Doomed to shipwreck are those who try to cross the dualistic illusion (form, time, and space) on these poor rafts.

Ignorant of their own ignorance, yet wise in their own esteem, these deluded men proud of their inherited beliefs in their religion wage war and violence against humanity in the name of protecting their God and religion.

Vedanta has nothing to do with Advaitic wisdom. Vedanta is only an indicator to show the truth hidden by the illusion.+

Advaita and Dvaita are not some philosophies. Advaita is the non-dual nature of the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. Dvaita is the illusory universe in which we exist.

By challenging provoking and passing opinion and judgment based on the dualistic perspective, the Advaitic wisdom will not dawn. By studying Vedanta you will not be able to realize the truth.

Sage Sankara says - VC-162- There is no liberation for a person of mere book-knowledge, howsoever well-read in the philosophy of Vedanta, so long as one does not give up the false identification with the body, sense organs, etc., which are unreal.

By challenging provoking and passing opinion and judgment on Advaita based on the dualistic perspective belongs to orthodoxy, not Spirituality.

Upanishads:~ Fools dwelling in darkness, but thinking they wise and erudite, go round and round, by various tortuous paths, like the blind led by the blind. (Upanishads Nikilanada - Ch II-5 P-14)

The Soul, the Self reveals ‘what is real’ and ‘what is unreal” when the seeker is receptive and ready.

Religious and yogic paths are not the Gnanic path or the Atmic path. Never mix religious and yogic ideas in the Atmic path.

Guru, the disciple concept is meant for the religious and yogic path. In the Atmic path, the Guru and Disciple concepts have no value.

A person who realizes the ultimate truth or Brahman will throw off his religious robe and all religious identity and live like a commoner. He never identifies himself as Gnani nor does he identify himself as superior to others. He only shares his knowledge with fellow seekers.

There is no need for the Guru to realize the ‘Self’ hidden by the illusion or Maya.

The Guru and disciple and the world in which Guru and disciple exist are created out of single stuff. That single stuff is consciousness. Consciousness is the ultimate truth of Brahman.

Identifying as a Guru or some Guru’s disciple keeps one in the cage of ignorance. A person who identifies himself as a Guru or disciple will never be able to get Advaitic Gnana.

The Guru and disciple and the world in which Guru and disciple exist are created out of single stuff. That single stuff is consciousness. Consciousness is the ultimate truth of Brahman.

Ashtavakra Samhita: ~ "The man of knowledge (Gnani), though living like an ordinary man, is contrary to him, and only those like him understand his state.

A Gnani can point at the sky, but the seeing of the star is the seeker's own work.

The truth-seeker seeks only truth. The inner Sage will guide you with love. Your sincerity and seriousness lead you to your inner core. Sincere and serious seekers are not excluded.

All the chosen ones will get freedom from experiencing the illusion (duality) as a reality. All the seekers of truth are chosen ones.

Katha Upanishads: ~ This Atman is attained by him alone whom It chooses. To such a one Atman reveals Its own form. (II -23-P-20)

Sage Sankara: ~ "Though I wear these robes of a Sanyasin, it is only for the sake of bread." (Select Works of Sage Sankara" also his commentary on Brihad)

Thus, the above passage proves that all those who wear the sanyasin robes are wearing them for the sake of bread belong to the religion; they have nothing to do with Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. There is no need to criticize and condemn the Gurus, yogis, and swamis because they are needed for the welfare of the ignorant masses in the dualistic world.

Sage Sankara says the transparent Truth of the Self, which is hidden by the illusion, is to be attained through the instructions of a knower of Brahman, (Gnani)

~ Then why stick to a Guru who is not a Gnani.

That is why Swami Vivekananda said: ~ “You have to grow from the inside out. None can teach you, none can make you spiritual. There is no other teacher, but your own Soul.”

What is the use of studying the biography when biography does not belong to the Soul, the ‘Self’ because the Soul is the formless, timeless, and spaceless existence?

Everyone’s inner work is on. Until a man is ripe to receive Self-knowledge, he will not be able to understand what I am saying.

Even though they may find it difficult at first as they go on reading and reflecting repeatedly on the post their subconscious will start dropping the dualistic egocentric knowledge and start accepting the Soul-centric Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.

Grasping the truth depends on the spiritual maturity of the seeker. Gnani ’s mission is sharing knowledge by inspiring the serious and sincere seekers of truth and diverting their attention towards the inward reality.

As their urge is at the seed level and as they go on reading the words of wisdom it will start growing.

It takes time for the seeker to gain the perfect understanding of ‘what is truth’ and ‘’what is untruth’. It takes time for the Soul, the innermost Self to wake up from the sleep of ignorance, and it takes time for one to realize the truth, which is beyond form, time, and space

Self-knowledge is not a question-and-answer session. As the seeker digs into old and new posts, he will gradually start understanding and assimilating the Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.

It is a waste of time to spend time in discussion.

Advaita is not the path of exchange of views or discussion. The seeker has to read think deeply and reflect on the subject constantly until the truth becomes firm. When the seeker has a firm conviction of what is reality then the unreality fades on its own.

The numerous glosses written by his followers tried to blend ritualistic attitude with the monistic inclination of the Sage.+

 

The history of Advaita is replete with interpretation and reinterpretation of Sage Sankara’s philosophical work the generation of Advaita followers that succeeded Sage Sankara wrote a number of commentaries on Sage Sankara’s work each commentator claimed that he grasped the essence and true intent of Sage Sankara and went on to write according to his own understanding. In that process, he wove into the commentaries, and his personal views and hoisted them on Sage Sankara.

This kind of adulation gave rise to several versions of Advaita. The numerous glosses written by his followers tried to blend the ritualistic attitude with the monastic inclination of the Master. The result was the distortion of Sage Sankara’s position.

The purpose of the scriptures, Sage Sankara said, was to describe reality as it is. Sage Sankara rejected the Mimamsa view and argued that scripture was not mandatory in character, at least where it concerned the pursuit of wisdom.

Upanishads, he remarked, dealt with Brahman (God in truth) and that Brahman (God in truth) could not be a subject matter of injunction and prohibitions.

Sage Sankara strongly advocated the study of Upanishads and at the same time cautioned that the study of Upanishad alone would not lead to liberation. In matters such as spiritual attainment, one’s own experience was the sole authority and it cannot be disputed

Sage Sankara also said the study of Upanishad was neither indispensable nor a necessary prerequisite for attaining the human goal, the moksha.

Sage Sankara pointed out; that even those who were outside the Upanishad fold were as eligible for moksha as those within the fold were.

Sage Sankara declared that all beings are Brahman, and therefore the question of discrimination did not arise. All that one was required to do was to get rid of ignorance (Duality).:~Santthosh Kumaar

Consciousness is God in truth is hidden by the illusory universe in which we exist (I).+

You are the truth seeker. You must accept only the ultimate truth nothing but the ultimate truth. The ultimate truth itself is Brahman or God in truth.

The Atman is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth.

Brihadaranyaka Upanishad: ~ Brahman (God in truth) is present in the form of the Athma, and it is indeed the Athma itself.

The Soul is the Self. The Soul is present in the form of consciousness. Consciousness is the ultimate truth or Brahman. Ultimate truth or Brahman is God in truth.

Realize that to be Brahman which is Existence, Knowledge, and Bliss Absolute, which is non-dual and infinite, eternal and One, and which fills all that exists.

After the realization of Advaitic truth, the attainment of which leaves nothing more to be attained, the pure blessedness, and the Knowledge after which nothing needs to be known. When seen, there is nothing more to be seen.

The experience of birth, life, death, and the world is made of a single stuff. That single stuff is consciousness. Self-knowledge makes you realize the experience of birth, life, death and the world is merely an illusion.

Consciousness pervades everything and everywhere in all the three states. Consciousness illumines the whole universe including the Sun, Moon, and the whole galaxy.

Consciousness pervades the entire universe outwardly and shines of itself, as the fire that permeates a red-hot iron ball both inwardly and outwardly shines of itself. There exists nothing that is not consciousness.

Remember:~

People perform all their actions in and through consciousness, but they are ignorant of the Soul, the Self, not being consciousness is merely an illusion. From illusion springs separation wherein the experience of birth, life, death, and the world have roots.

Ashtavakra Gita: ~ The universe rises from the Soul, the Self like bubbles from the sea. Thus, know the Soul, the Self to be One and in this way enter into the state of dissolution."

For the Gnani who realize everything as consciousness, what is there to meditate or not to meditate, what to speak or not to speak, what to do or not to do? Those who give up the highest and purest Brahmic consciousness live in vain and though human, are like beasts. Having turned the visible into the invisible, one should realize everything to be consciousness itself.

A Gnani always dwells in Advaitic awareness. The ever-existent Soul or consciousness shining within the three states can be realized only through Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.

The Self indeed is this Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness, not the phenomenal universe which is present in the form of the mind.

Remember this:~

God is hidden by the world in which we exist (I).

From a dualistic perspective, the past present, and future are a reality.

From a nondualistic perspective, there is no past, no present, and no future.

From a dualistic perspective, form, time, and space are a reality.

From a nondualistic perspective, there is no form, there is no time and there is no future.

From a dualistic perspective, the universe is a reality.

From a nondualistic perspective, the universe is an illusion.

From the dualistic perspective, the three states are a reality.

From a nondualistic perspective, the three states are an illusion.

From a dualistic perspective, the ‘I’ is a reality.

From a nondualistic perspective, the ‘I’ is an illusion.

The seeker has to make sure what is this ‘I’ supposed to be? The seeker has to make sure of the unreal nature of the ‘I’ which comes and goes in order to realize the truth, which is hidden by the illusory form, time, and space.

Without Consciousness, which is God in truth, the ‘I’ ceases to exist. The ‘I’ is ignorance. The ‘I’ is an illusion. There is nothing that exists prior to consciousness. The ‘I’ ceases to exist without consciousness.

The Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness, is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth.

That is why Bhagavad Gita: ~ “The permanent (consciousness) is always there, only the transient ‘I’ comes and goes. (2.18)

The ‘I’ hides the truth of the Soul, the Self.

Bhagavad Gita: ~ “You must first see the ‘I’ as illusory before you see others as illusory. ~ CH.2 v.16

The seeker of truth has to discover the reality hidden by the ‘I’. God is hidden by the ‘I’. The reality is without the ‘I’. The ‘I’ hides the Soul, and the Soul is present in the form of consciousness. Consciousness is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth.

Remember, the ‘I’ is not within you. The world in which you exist itself is the ‘I’. It is erroneous to think the ‘I’ is within you.

Yajur Veda – chapter- 32:~ God is Supreme Spirit, has no ‘Pratima’ (idol) or material shape. God cannot be seen directly by anyone. God pervades all beings and all directions.

Yajurveda: ~ There is no image of God in truth. God in truth is unborn and eternal. (Chapter 32, Verse 3)

Yajurveda: ~ God in truth is nondual and pure"

Yajurveda: ~ "They are entering darkness, those who worship the natural things (like air, water, fire, etc.), they are sinking more in darkness who worship created things." (Chapter 40, Verse 9)

Thus, Idolatry does not find any support in the Vedas.

Yajurveda says: ~If one worships what is not God fall into an awful hell of pain and sorrow, and suffer terribly for a long time."-(Yajur Veda 40:9.)

Translation 1.

They enter darkness, those who worship natural things (for example air, water, sun, moon, animals, fire, stone, etc.).

They sink deeper in darkness those who worship sambhuti. (Sambhuti means created things, for example, table, chair, idol, etc.) - (Yajurveda 40:9)

Translation 2.

"Deep into the shade of blinding gloom fall asambhuti's worshippers. They sink into a darkness deeper yet who on sambhuti is intent. ("Yajurveda Samhita by Ralph T. H. Griffith pg. 538)

"They are enveloped in darkness, in other words, are steeped in ignorance and sunk in the greatest depths of misery who worship the uncreated, eternal prakrti -- the material cause of the world -- in place of the All-pervading God, But those who worship visible things born of the prakrti, such as the earth, trees, bodies (human and the like) in place of God are enveloped in still greater darkness, in other words, they are extremely foolish, fall into an awful hell of pain and sorrow, and suffer terribly for a long time." -(Yajur Veda 40:9.)

Hindus who hold the Vedas and Upanishads as their authority have to make sure what God according to the Vedas and Upanishads.+

Bhagavad Gita: ~ ‘All those whose intelligence has been stolen by material desires, they worship many Gods. (7- Verse -20)

From a Vedic perspective, Lord Krishna has been just a Mahan yogi and not God himself. Because in the Bhagavad Gita itself says: ~

Lord Krishna himself says: ~ “Those who know the ‘Self’ in truth." The last two words (tattvataha) are usually ignored by pundits, but they make all the difference between the ordinary concept of God and the truth about God. (Ch. ~V)

Bhagavad Gita Krishna says: ~It is only one amongst thousands of people who strive for spiritual salvation. Even amongst such seekers, it is only the rare person who gets to know “Self” correctly.’ (7.3)

The Bhagavad itself Gita: ~ brahmano hi pratisthaham ~ Brahman (God in truth) is considered the all-pervading consciousness which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material. (14.27)

So, from the Vedic perspective, Lord Krishna is not a Vedic God because Rig Veda says: May ye never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman?"

First, the Hindus who hold the Vedas and Upanishads as their authority have to make sure what is God according to the Vedas and Upanishads then drop all the non-Vedic Gods and non-Vedic rituals and beliefs.

Vedas and Upanishads confirm the Soul, the innermost Self, is present in the form of the Spirit or Consciousness.

There is a clear-cut idea of God in the Vedas, Upanishad, and Bhagavad Gita. And also there is a clear-cut idea of what not to worship as God in place of real God. Thus, it proves from the Vedic perspective the Puranic Gods are not Vedic Gods.

Mythological stories are a myth. Mythological Gods are a myth. Worshipping mythological heroes as God produces only myth. There is a need to realize ‘what God is supposed to be in actuality. Religion has been very influential.

Mythology is a synthesis. They are more concerned with synthesis than with truth. The attraction for synthesis is so strong that people accept it blindly without verifying its validity.

Mythology is a hodgepodge containing everything; hence it suits everyone because there is something in it for everyone. It is difficult to find any tradition whose voice is not found in mythology. It is difficult to find anyone who does not take solace from mythology. But for such people ‘Self’-Realization will prove very difficult Vedas says never to accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman.

Rig Veda: ~ The Atman (Soul or Spirit) is the cause; Atman is the support of all that exists in this universe. May ye never turn away from the Atman, the Self. May ye never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman?" (10:48, 5)

Rig Veda: ~ 'Prajnanam Brahma'- Consciousness is the ultimate reality or Brahman or God in truth.

Do not accept any other truth other than consciousness. Consciousness is the ultimate truth. Nothing is real but consciousness. Realize Consciousness as the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth. Consciousness is everywhere and in everything. Let these words be inscribed in your subconscious.

Yajur Veda – chapter- 32:~ God is Supreme Spirit, has no ‘Pratima’ (idol) or material shape. God cannot be seen directly by anyone. God pervades all beings and all directions.

Yajurveda: ~ There is no image of God in truth. God in truth is unborn and eternal. (Chapter 32, Verse 3)

Yajurveda: ~ God in truth is nondual and pure."

Yajurveda: ~ "They are entering darkness, those who worship the natural things (like air, water, fire, etc.), they are sinking more in darkness who worship created things." (Chapter 40, Verse 9)

Thus, Idolatry does not find any support in the Vedas.

Bible says: ~ “God is a Spirit, and they that worship God must worship God in Spirit and in truth. (John 4:24)

The Spirit is the root element of the universe. The Spirit is present in the form of the Soul, the innermost Self. The Soul is present in the form of consciousness. From the Spirit, the universe comes into existence. In the Spirit, the universe resides. And into the Spirit, the universe is dissolved. The Spirit is the parent of all that is there is.

Even Brihadaranyaka Upanishad: ~ Brahman (God in truth) is present in the form of the Athma, and it is indeed Athma itself. The

Sage Sankara’s Supreme Brahman (God in truth) is impersonal, Nirguna (without Gunas or attributes), Nirakara (formless), Nirvisesha (without special characteristics), immutable, eternal, and Akarta (non-agent). It is above all needs and desires. It is always the Witnessing Subject. It can never become an object, as it is beyond the reach of the senses. Brahman is non-dual, one without a second. It has no other besides it. It is destitute of difference, either external or internal. Brahman cannot be described because the description implies a distinction. Brahman cannot be distinguished from any other than it. In Brahman, there is no distinction between substance and attribute. Awareness constitutes the very essence or the true nature of Brahman (God), and not just its attributes. The attributeless Brahman of Sage Sankara is impersonal

Religious Gods are not God in truth. One must realize God suppose to be in truth.

The dualistic worship of "God” is only for the ignorant populace. God in truth is only Atman, the real ‘Self’. In reality, there is no duality, no differentiation. Only Atman exists.

There is a clear-cut idea of God in the Vedas, Upanishad, and Bhagavad Gita. And also there is a clear-cut idea of what not to worship as God in place of real God. Thus, it proves from the Vedic perspective the Puranic Gods are not Vedic Gods.

Vedas says never to accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman. Hindus assert their religion is monotheistic, even though they honor a number of Gods, including Brahma the Creator, Vishnu the Preserver, and Shiva the Destroyer. Hindus claim these various Gods are all manifestations of the oneness of the universe.

Hindu religious practices vary from place to place, but they frequently include yoga, physical and mental discipline to harmonize body and Soul, and ritual bathing. Belief in multiple Gods, The worship of idols and images that are not God, The worship of sacred images, ancestor worship, pilgrimage, priestcraft, the belief in avatars or incarnations of God, and the hereditary caste system on the grounds that all these lacks Vedic sanction.

Hinduism indulges non-Vedic beliefs such as idolatry, ancestor worship, pilgrimages, priestcraft, offerings made in temples, the caste system, untouchability, and child marriages. All of these lack Vedic sanctions, therefore, Hinduism is not Ancient Vedic religion or Santana Dharma.

Religious Gods are not God in truth. One must know God in truth. Those who are seeking truth have to discard inherited beliefs. There is no need to criticize their inherited religion but it is for the seekers to realize the religion is meant for the ignorant people who are unable to grasp the real God.

Thus, it is necessary to realize what God suppose to be according to Vedas, Upanishads, and Bhagavad Gita for their own personal information. Many Gods and Goddesses with different forms and names are not of the Santana Dharma or veridic religion.

The Vedic God is Atma. The Atma is the i ‘Self’, which is present in the form of the Spirit or the consciousness. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

Do not try to get rid of the ego you will never succeed. It is impossible to get rid of the ego because you are the ego.+

People talk about getting rid of the ego but it is impossible to get rid of the ego. The ego is the very basis of form, time, and space. Without the ego, form, time and space cease to exist.

Without the form, time, and space the world in which we exist ceases to exist.

Do not try to get rid of the ego you will never succeed. It is impossible to get rid of the ego because you are the ego.

You cannot get rid of the ego alone. You and ego, the world in which you exist appear together and disappear together. You are the ego.

The ego is the basis of the world in which you exist. The world in which you exist is the product of ignorance.

The ego, body, and the world appear as the waking experience. The waking experience is a dualistic illusion.

Till you think your body, ego, and the world are separate from each other you will remain in ignorance of the ‘Self’.

Remember, your body, ego, and the world in which you exist are created out of single clay. And that single clay is the Soul, the Self. The Soul is present in the form of consciousness.

Thus, a perfect understanding of ‘what is what' is required to get rid of ignorance.

Without getting rid of ignorance form, time, and space prevail as a reality.

One has to get rid of ignorance, not the ego because the ego is the product of ignorance.

Get rid of ignorance by realizing the ‘Self is not you but the Self is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.:~Santthosh Kumaar
