The Atmic reality is the effortless place.+

The Atmic reality is the effortless place. There is no place for effort in Atmic reality because, in reality, form, time, and space become one in essence.

It is ignorance that is the main cause of experiencing the illusion (duality) as reality.
Ignorance cannot be removed by effort but by perfect understanding and realization of ‘what is the truth and ‘what is untruth’.
Effort implies duality. If the self is seen as it is - then ignorance disappears.
Remember:~
You are not different from the ego because you are the ego. The ego, body, and the world appear together as waking or dream (duality) and disappear together as deep sleep (non-duality).
The dream is a parallel waking experience and the waking experience is a parallel dream.
We need not focus our attention on the ego but we have to find the truth of the whole waking experience (universe).

The seeker has to find out: ~
‘What is it that appears as the waking?’
“What is it that appears as a dream?’
‘What is it that disappears as deep sleep?’
Deeper self-search reveals the fact that whatever appears and disappears is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.
The witness of the appearance and disappearance of the three states also the Soul.
All three states are created out of single clay. And that single clay is the consciousness. In reality, the witness (Soul) and the witnessed (three states) are one in essence.
The knowledge of the single stuff is Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.:~Santthosh Kumaar

When ignorance vanishes then the Soul, the' Self' remains in its own nondualistic awareness in the midst of the duality (the universe in which you exist.

The ‘I’ is present in the form of the mind. The mind is present in the form of the universe.

The universe is present in the form of form, time, and space.

Without form, time, and space, there is no duality. The duality is not a reality from the standpoint of the Soul, the Self.

The mind is present in the form of form, time, and space. Thus, whatever belongs to form, time and space are falsehoods.

The universe in which we exist as a reality is a falsehood. Thus, there is a need to know ‘what is what’ to realize the truth beyond form, time, and space.

The ‘I’ disappears as deep sleep, so what is the use of being attached to it? It is impermanent and illusory because ‘I’ is physical awareness.

Physical awareness is not Self-awareness. ‘I-less awareness is Self-awareness.

There is really no ‘I’. The ‘I’ is present in the form of the mind. And the mind is in the form of the universe. And the universe appears as a waking or dream.

The ‘I’ or mind or the universe or waking or dream die disappears as deep sleep.

Thus, one that appears as ‘I’ or mind or the universe or waking or dream is consciousness, and it disappears as deep sleep is also consciousness.

In deep sleep, it is in its formless nondual true nature. The one, that witnesses the coming and going of the three states, is also consciousness. Thus, the witness and witnessed are one in essence.

Thus, the universe is a reality on the base of individuality and the universe is unreal on the base of the Soul (consciousness), which is the Self.

The mind is present in the form of form, time, and space. Thus, whatever belongs to form, time and space are falsehoods.

The universe in which we exist as a reality is a falsehood.

There is a need to know 'what is what’ in order to realize the truth beyond form, time, and space.

The seeker gradually will grasp and realize the unreal nature of the universe.

Individuality is illusory because the Self is not an individual.

The Self is a formless, timeless, and spaceless existence.

The Self is the Soul and it pervades everything and everywhere in all three states. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

A buried treasure is not uncovered by merely questioning and arguing intellectually.+


A buried treasure is not uncovered by merely questioning and arguing intellectually. The seeker must follow the right directions, dig, and remove all mental garbage that is covering the truth.
The truth, which is buried under the illusion, can be reached by deeper self-search but never by intellectual questioning and arguments on unimportant subject matter that is not concerned with Self-realization because intellectuality is bound by form, time, and space, whereas the truth is beyond form, time, and space.
Without reading my blogs and posting it is very difficult to understand and assimilate what I am saying.
All intellectual questions are based on a dualistic perspective whereas what I am saying is on a nondualistic perspective.
The seeker has to question himself and try to find answers and verify the facts. So, the seeker has to first read all the posts and blogs, and then gradually he will be able to understand and assimilate the truth beyond the form, time, and space.
The truth will not be revealed by arguing or asking intellectual questions. The seeker will find answers on his own as he keeps on reading my blogs and posting.
All my blogs and posts are the verified truth. If one goes on reading all his doubts and confusion will start clearing. It takes some time to be receptive to receiving Self-Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana because it is Soulcentric knowledge whereas all accumulated knowledge is egocentric.
I highlight all the obstacles in the inner journey and how to overcome them. All accumulated intellectual knowledge is of no use in the path of wisdom.
I am not trying to prove my views, but it is for every seeker, who is on the path of truth to realize “What is the truth? “and “What is untruth?” to assimilate the self-knowledge, or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.
I just write what is revealed from the inner core. My main intention is to divert their attention to the source from where the mind (universe) rises and subsides.
Reading my blogs gradually, they will start assimilation ‘of what is truth and what is the untruth.
Repeated reading of my blogs makes the seeker soulcentric, and the inner dialogue will start and clear all the doubts and confusion.
When there are no doubts and confusion, then they have realized the truth that form, time, and space are one in essence. And that essence is consciousness.
There is no use in wasting time in questioning and arguing same time and effort has to be used to make the seeker more independent and without external spoon-feeding he can reach the inner core, which is the Soul which is present in the form of consciousness.
The words mean different things to different people. It is what's behind the words, between the lines that matters.
Perfect understanding of ‘what is what is needed. Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana is meant for those who are seriously seeking the truth. Patience and humility are the main ingredients in the path of truth. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

Lord Krishna says: ~ “This yoga has been lost for ages" The word yoga refers to Gnana yoga, not other yogas.+

Lord Krishna confesses that the oldest wisdom of India (AdvaitIc wisdom) has been lost: people misinterpret and falsify it today as they did then. It is not yoga but the philosophic truth. But nobody knows it. The teachers of philosophy and leaders of mysticism or religion do not want to inquire into truth and have no time for it. (Gita ~ Chap ~IV~ v.2)

Why is the word Yoga used in so many different senses in the Gita? Because there are grades and the highest demands concentrated brains, not sitting mindless and imagining, you are seeing God.

In Gita Chap.IV where Lord Krishna says: ~ “This yoga has been lost for ages" The word yoga refers to Gnana yoga, not other yogas: the force of the word this is to point this out.

Lord Krishna describes some of the other yogas but devotes this chapter separately to Gnana yoga. So one sees even in those ancient days people did not care for Advaita; they wanted religion; hence Gnana got lost. That is why Krishna calls it "the supreme secret." Krishna points out that yoga must see "Brahman in action."

Gita Chap.IV:~ “He who achieves perfection in Yoga finds the Self in time." This means that after his yoga is finished, he begins the inquiry into ultimate truth, and in due course, this inquiry produces the realization of the universal Spirit as the result.

Understanding what is God is not so easy. Religious people can only imagine God based on their beliefs.

That is why Lord Krishna says Ch ~V: ~ “Those who know the Self in truth.". The last two words (tattvataha) are usually ignored by pundits, but they make all the difference between the ordinary concept of God and the truth about God.

Lord Krishna himself says that he can do nothing to make a man intelligent straight away. The adepts give Prasad, blessings, initiations, mantrams, etc. only to confer temporary peace of mind, to help one to get rid of worries, but not to confer Gnana. The capacity to receive it must first be inborn in man by evolutionary degree.

Bhagavad Gita: ~ Brahman is considered the all-pervading consciousness which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material. (brahmano hi pratisthaham, ( 14.27)

Remember:~

Maha Gita : ~ Krishna's Gita is a hodgepodge containing everything; hence it suits everyone because there is something in it for everyone. It is difficult to find any tradition whose voice is not found in the Gita. It is difficult to find anyone who does not take solace from the Gita. But for such people, Ashtavakra's Gita will prove very difficult.

Ashtavakra is not for synthesis -- he is a man of truth. He speaks the truth just as it is, without any artifice or coloring. He is not concerned about the listener, he does not care whether his listener will understand or not. Such a pure expression of truth has never happened anywhere before, nor has it ever happened again.

People love Krishna's Gita because it is very easy to extract one's own meaning from it. Krishna's Gita is poetic: in it, two plus two can equal five, and two plus two can also equal three. No such tricks are possible with Ashtavakra. With him, two plus two are exactly four. Ashtavakra's statements are statements of pure mathematics. There isn't the least possibility for poetic license here. He says things as they are, without any sort of compromise.

Reading Krishna's Gita a devotee extracts something of which he can make a belief because Krishna spoke on bhakti, devotion. The karma yogi extracts his belief because Krishna has spoken on karma yoga, the Yoga of action. The believer in knowledge finds what he wants because Krishna has spoken on knowledge as well. Somewhere Krishna calls bhakti the ultimate, somewhere else he calls knowledge the ultimate, again elsewhere he calls karma yoga the ultimate.

Krishna's statements are very political. He was a politician, a perfect politician. Just to say he was a politician is not right; he was a shrewd politician, a real diplomat. In his statements, he considered and included many things. This is why the Gita suits everyone, and why there are thousands of commentaries on the Gita. No one is concerned with Ashtavakra because to accept Ashtavakra you are going to have to drop yourself -- unconditionally. You cannot bring yourself along. Only if you stay behind can you come near him. With Krishna, you can bring yourself along. With Krishna, there is no need to transform yourself. With Krishna, you can fit just as you are.

Hence, the founders of each tradition have written commentaries on Krishna's Gita -- Sankara, Ramanuja, Nimbarak, Vallabha -- everyone. Each has extracted his own meaning. Krishna has said things in such a way as to allow multiple meanings; hence I call his Gita poetic. You can draw out any meaning you like from a poem.

Krishna's statements are like clouds surrounding you in the rainy season: you see in them whatever you want. Someone may see an elephant's trunk, and someone sees the whole body of Ganesha, the elephant God. Someone may not see anything. He will say, "What nonsense you talk! They are clouds, vapor -- how is it you see forms in them?"

Krishna's Gita is just like this -- you will be able to see whatever is in your mind. So Sankara sees knowledge, Ramanuja sees bhakti, Tilak sees action -- and each returns home in a cheerful mood thinking that what Krishna says is the same as his belief.

This kind of suspicion often arises with Krishna too. Centuries have passed and commentaries on Krishna keep on coming. Each century finds its own meaning, and each person finds his own meaning. Krishna's Gita is like an ink blot... it is the statement of the perfect politician.

You cannot extract any beliefs from Ashtavakra's Gita. Only if you drop yourself as you move into it, will Ashtavakra's Gita become clear to you.

Ashtavakra's message is crystal clear. You won't be able to add even a small bit of your own interpretation to it. Hence, people have not written commentaries on Ashtavakra's Gita. There is no scope for writing a commentary; there is no way to distort or twist it. Your mind has no chance to add anything. Ashtavakra has given such an expression that no one has been able to add or take anything from it, even though centuries have passed. It is not easy to give such a perfect expression. Such skill with words is very difficult to come by.

There are two kinds of audiences - the ordinary ones who desire the transitory heaven and other pleasures obtained as a result of ritual sacrifices, and the more advanced seekers who seek to know the truth beyond form, time, and space. The Bhagavad Gita is meant for the first audience, to help lead its followers along the way. The Ashtavakra Gita, with its emphasis on Advaitic wisdom, is meant for those who wish to go beyond such transient pleasures.

Scientific knowledge is limited to form, time, and space. Self-knowledge is beyond form, time, and space. Birth, life, death, and the world are within the domain of form, time, and space. The Soul, the innermost Self, is a formless, timeless, and spaceless existence.

Consciousness is ever-present. Without consciousness, the world, in which you exist ceases to exist. Consciousness is Self-evident. It is not established by extraneous proof. It is not possible to deny consciousness because it is the very essence of the one who denies it. Consciousness is the basis of all kinds of knowledge, presuppositions, and proofs. Consciousness is everything. Thus, consciousness is the ultimate truth or Brahman. : ~Santthosh Kumaar

The universe is both real and unreal. It is real because it is a manifestation of consciousness, but it is unreal in the sense that it is not absolute and eternal like consciousness itself.
People's approach is more practical, and they stick to the reality of the world, they take it as real. That is why there is all the confusion.
Sage Sankara: ~ VC~ "All this universe which through ignorance appears as of diverse forms, is nothing else but Brahman(consciousness) which is absolutely free from all the limitations of Maya.
In Atmic-awareness, the universe in which we exist and Soul are one in essence.
The look of an object will depend upon the medium through which the observer views it. In fact, our mental and intellectual conditions determine the object (three states), observed and experienced. The commoner viewing the world will see differently from a Gnani viewing the same world. Each one interprets the world that they see in terms of their existing knowledge. The commoner sees everything based on the ego, therefore, he sees the world in which he exists as a reality, whereas a Gnani sees everything as consciousness and he is fully aware that, there is no second thing that exists other than the Soul or consciousness (subject).
Thus, all objective observation has to be bifurcated to realize the ultimate truth, which is beyond form, time, and space.
Only from the dualistic perspective, do the changes take place. From the non-dualistic perspective, there are no changes.
Those who believe in the dualistic world as a reality feel that knowledge changes from time to time, but they must realize their knowledge is limited to form time, and space whereas Self-knowledge is the knowledge of the beyond the form, time, and space.
Change is possible only in ignorance. Ignorance is the cause of experiencing the illusory world in which we exist as a reality.
Consciousness is the cause of the world in which we exist and it, itself is uncaused.
The universe in which we exist is dependent on consciousness for its existence but the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness, is independent.
From the standpoint of the Soul, the Self, the world in which we exist is merely an illusion.
Only within the illusion do the changes take place, the illusory changes within the illusion are bound to be an illusion.
In Atmic reality, consciousness alone is real and eternal. Thus, the knowledge of the eternal will be always eternal.
The intellectual knowledge based on form, time, and space is bound to change from time to time as science progresses in its dualistic inventions.
Consciousness is ever-changeless because it is a formless, timeless, and spaceless existence.
Whatever takes form as the duality is false. Only the nondual consciousness endures. When you understand the truth, beyond form, time, and space, the duality will never be a reality again.
For consciousness is infinite, within and without, like a mirror, and the image in a mirror. Consciousness is everywhere, filling all things and flowing through the dualistic illusion forever.
Consciousness is like a lamp that lights up a theatre and reveals both a dancer and a stage.
Ignorance is the cause of experiencing the world as a reality. The world in which we exist is a dualistic illusion.
The ‘Self’ is hidden within the dualistic illusion and it is without the dualistic illusion. :~ Santthosh Kumaar

There is no truth in Advaitic orthodoxy, which is based on the false self (ego or you) within the false experience (waking). +

Religious people are unaware that their inherited belief system is of superstition and dogmas based on the imagination. Religious people think of whatever they have inherited from their forefathers as the ultimate truth.

After the 2nd century, there was much adulteration and reforms in Indian society and there were saints formed their own belief systems and codes of conduct, and many new belief systems were formed within India.

Each sect has its own founder. Thus the whole Indian society was divided into many sects and creeds creating separation in the society. All these diverse groups of caste, sect, and creed together are called Hinduism.

The Vedic religion or Santana Dharma does not exist today. Followers of Vedas today indulge in non-Vedic activities barred by Vedas in the name of Vedas.

The seeker of truth has to be free from all this baggage of religious superstition and dogmas. The Orthodox people impose and brainwash their orthodox ideas on their children. Orthodoxy is a self-imposed prison.

Orthodox people are ignorant people. There is no truth in Advaitic orthodoxy, which is based on the false self (ego or you) within the false experience (waking).

Orthodox people without realizing that, they are on the wrong path and they think they are on the right path to Moksha because it is written in their scriptures.

All these dualistic scriptures and mythological stories are nothing but imagination.
In Vedas, God has been described as: ~

Sakshi (Witness)

Chetan (conscious)

Nirguna (Without form and properties).

Nitya (eternal)

Shuddha (pure)

Buddha (omniscient)

Mukta (unattached).

So, it clearly indicates that God is formless thus there is no scope for a form-based God.
The religion and its ideas of Gods, and its theories of karma, heaven, hell, papa, punya, rebirth, and reincarnation are based on the false self (ego), within the false experience (waking). Therefore, they are meant for lower mindsets, they are of no use to those who are seeking higher truth as indicated in the scriptures.

Rig Veda: ~ The Atman is the cause; Atman is the support of all that exists in this universe. May ye never turn away from the Atman, the ‘Self’. May ye never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman?" (10:48, 5)

Rig Veda: ~ 'Prajnanam Brahma'- Consciousness is the ultimate reality or Brahman or God in truth.

Do not accept any other God other than the Soul. The Soul is God in truth. Nothing is real but the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

Nothing matters but realizing God in truth. God in truth, is everywhere and in everything. Let these words be inscribed in your subconscious.

God in truth, is hidden by the illusory universe. God in truth alone, is real and eternal, and all else is an illusion.

Brahman is merely a word to indicate the ultimate truth or God in truth. The ultimate truth itself is God in truth.
People are not aware that there is no religious God based on blind belief that can exist, apart from the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

Yajurveda – chapter- 32: ~ God is Supreme Spirit has no ‘Pratima’ (idol) or material shape. God cannot be seen directly by anyone. God pervades all beings and all directions.

Thus, Idolatry does not find any support from the Vedas.

Ishopanishad: ~ “They are steeped in ignorance and sunk into the greatest depth of misery who worships the matter, instead of the All-Pervading God and those who worship things born of matter like trees, animals, man, etc. are sunk deeper in misery."

No conceptual God can exist, apart from consciousness.

Ish Upanishad:~ Those people who have neglected the attainment of Self-knowledge and have thus committed suicide> ~10/11/12
It indicates that if the human goal is to acquire Self -Knowledge then why one has to indulge in rituals and glorify the conceptual gods, goddesses, and gurus to go into deeper darkness? Instead spend that time moving forward towards Self-knowledge, which is one’s prime goal.

Thus the Soul, the Self, is present in the form of consciousness. If there is no consciousness, then there is no body, no ego, no universe, no religion, and no conceptual God.

People think that there must be a creator of this universe. If one thinks physical entity or ego as the Self, then there is a creator, but if one thinks of the Soul as the Self, then there is nothing that exists other than the consciousness, which is the innermost self.

If one objectifies and sees a universe, then he is bound to see many things besides himself and postulate a God, the creator. The Body, the idea of the God and world rise and set together from, and into, the Soul, the self.

If God is apart from the ‘Self ‘, then He would be Selfless, that is, outside existence, that is, non-existent.

That is why Sage Sankara:~ (11) As regards the rituals, Sage Sankara says, the person who performs rituals and aspires for rewards will view himself in terms of the caste into which he is born, his age, the stage of his life, his standing in society, etc. In addition, he is required to perform rituals all through his life. However, the Self has none of those attributes or tags. Hence, the person who superimposes all those attributes on the changeless, eternal Self and identifies the Self with the body is confusing one for the other; and is therefore an ignorant person. The scriptures dealing with rituals, rewards, etc. are therefore addressed to an ignorant person. -Adhyasa Bhashya Sage Sankara:~ (11.1) This ignorance (mistaking the body for Self) brings in its wake a desire for the well-being of the body, aversion for its disease or discomfort, fear of its destruction, and thus a host of miseries(anartha). This anartha is caused by projecting karthvya(“doer” sense) and bhokthavya (object) on the Atman. Sage Sankara calls this adhyasa. The scriptures dealing with rituals, rewards, etc. are, therefore, he says, addressed to an ignorant person. -Adhyasa Bhashya

Sage Sankara:~ (11.2) In short, a person who engages in rituals with the notion “I am an agent, doer, thinker”, according to Sage Sankara, is ignorant, as his behavior implies a distinct, separate doer/agent/knower; and an object that is to be done/achieved/known. That duality is Avidya, an error that can be removed by Vidya. -Adhyasa Bhashya Sage Sankara: ~ (12) Sage Sankara affirming his belief in one eternal unchanging reality (Brahman) and the illusion of plurality, drives home the point that Upanishads deal not with rituals but with the knowledge of the Absolute (Brahma vidya) and the Upanishads give us an insight into the essential nature of the Self which is identical with the Absolute, the Brahman.-Adhyasa Bhashya

Atman, the Self is verily Brahman, being equanimous, quiescent, and by nature absolute Existence, Knowledge, and Bliss. Atman is not a body that is non-existence itself. This is called true Knowledge by the wise. The ultimate state lies beyond the illusory experience of duality because it is prior to any experience. One can only talk of duality or non-duality within the experience of duality. In non-duality is the ultimate subject. There is no second thing other than the soul or the consciousness in Advaitic reality.
Bhagavad Gita:~ brahmano hi pratisthaham - Brahman is considered the all-pervading consciousness which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material. (Gita 14.27) In Advaita Vedanta: ~ Brahman is without attributes and strictly impersonal. It can be best described as an infinite Being, infinite Consciousness, and infinite Bliss. It is pure knowledge itself, similar to a source of infinite radiance. Since the Advaitins regard Brahman to be the Ultimate Truth, so, in comparison to Brahman, every other thing, including the material world, its distinctness, the individuality of the living creatures, and even Ishvara (the Supreme Lord) itself is untrue. Brahman is the effulgent cause of everything that exists and can possibly exist. Since it is beyond human comprehension, it is without any attributes, for assigning attributes to it would be distorting the true nature of Brahman. Advaitins believe in the existence of both Saguna Brahman and Nirguna Brahman; however, they consider Nirguna Brahman to be the absolute supreme truth. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

Sage Sankara’s Advaitic wisdom has not been taken seriously because of people’s orthodox attitude.+

Sage Sankara was an independent thinker. Sage Sankara’s Advaitic wisdom has not been taken seriously by many in India because most of the followers of Sage Sankara are religious orthodox.
Sage Sankara says: - VC-47- All the effects of ignorance, root, and branch, are burnt down by the fire of knowledge, which arises from discrimination between these two—the Self and the not-Self.
Sage Sankara says: - VC-162- There is no liberation for a person of mere book-knowledge, howsoever well-read in the philosophy of Vedanta, so long as one does not give up the false identification with the body, sense organs, etc., which are unreal.
It is that philosophy in India was for centuries more an exposition of the ancient classics than the independent thought of individual thinkers as in ancient Greece or modern Europe and America.
Sage Sankara and Sage Goudpada are independent thinkers other schools of Indian philosophy are mere theologies.
Advaitic wisdom is the only tool to unfold the mystery of the ‘I’. The dualistic philosophy cannot escape the charge of dogmatism.
Intelligence and thought do not apply to Advaitism, intelligence and thought are based on the false self (waking entity) within the false experience (waking).
The whole Advaitic philosophy is an attempt to transcend the limitations of intelligence and thought.
The two points of view a Gnani is not cut off from the experience of practical life within the practical world because Advaitic truth is neither realism nor idealism; it is beyond both these.
Sage Sankara said:~ Talk as much philosophy as you like, worship as many Gods as you please, observe ceremonies, and sing devotional hymns, but the liberation will never come, even after a hundred aeons, without realizing the Oneness.
Advaitic wisdom does not begin with the ultimate truth. The ultimate truth has to be proved, not assumed. Hence, so-called philosophers who take Brahman for granted are not philosophers at all.
Lots of Advaitin scholars will teach that all is yourself but none of them can show that this is so, none has analyzed it scientifically, and none can prove it. The rational proof is required so that one arrives at knowing the ultimate truth or Brahman i.e. Gnana.
Theirs is mere dogma, parrotism, and repetition of what they read in scripture. Authoritarianism merely assumes as true what another says, but what has yet to be proved.
Sage Sankara endeavored to establish the Vedic religion overthrowing Buddhism. But even he was not able to avoid the influence of Buddhism. The influence of the revolutionary atmosphere of Buddhism has reappeared in the Advaita of Sage Sankara. His inability to revive the Vedic religion that flourished before the Buddhist revolution in its pure form is discernible.
Sage Sankara gave out what was of most use to the greatest number of people. Therefore, in the commentaries on the Upanishads, such as the famous Mandukya, he gave the highest non-dual message of the identity of Atman and Brahman, revitalizing the philosophy and practice of Advaita, while in the commentaries on the Brahmasūtra he gave lesser teaching, positing both higher and lower Maya and higher and lower Brahman (Ishvara) to explain creation for those of lesser intellects until they were ready for the highest truth.
