By glorifying the Guru or surrendering to the Guru you will not get Advaitic Gnana.+


Remember, you are a truth seeker you will not accept anything other than the truth. By visiting the Ashram, ignorance will not vanish.
By glorifying the Guru or surrendering to the Guru you will not get Advaitic Gnana.
All religious and yogic paths are meant for the ignorant crowd, not for those who are searching for the truth of their true existence.
By practicing kundalini you will remain in ignorance permanently. Meeting holy people you will not get the grace.
Sage Sankara himself said: ~ A Gnani "bears no outward mark of a holy man." (Stanza 539).
Sage Sankara: ~ "Though I wear these robes of a Sanyasin, it is only for the sake of bread."
So he wore a Guru's robe only for the sake of the ignorant. So he was identified as a Guru with parampara by religious people. For the truth seekers, Sage Sankara is a Brahma Gnani.
Thus, it proves that the religious gurus and yogis are not Gnanis because they identified themselves as holy people.
Tripura Rahasya: ~ Second-hand knowledge of the Self-gathered from books or Gurus can never emancipate a man until its truth is rightly investigated and applied; only direct realization will do that. Realize yourself, turning the mind inward. (18: 89)
By observing nature you will not find the truth you are seeking but by realizing the unreal nature of the universe the truth you are seeking will be revealed on its own.
Chandogya Upanishads: ~ “This universe comes forth from Brahman and will return to Brahman. Verily, all is Brahman. A person is what his deep desire is. It is our deepest desire in this life that shapes the life to come. So let us direct our deepest desires to realize the Self.
Ashtavakra Gita: ~ “The universe rises from the Soul, the innermost Self like bubbles from the sea. Thus know the ‘Self’ to be One and in this way enter into the state of dissolution."
Sage Sankara said: ~A.A~ 88. When the whole universe, movable and immovable, is known to be Atman (consciousness), and thus the existence of everything else is negated, where is then any room to say that the body is Atman?
The ‘Self’ is not the mind. The mind is present in the form of not the world in which we exist. The world appears as waking or dream (duality) and disappears as deep sleep (non-duality).
The ‘Self’ is the Soul. The Soul is present in the form of consciousness.
Consciousness pervades everything and everywhere in all three states. Thus, diversity is created out of a single stuff. That stuff is consciousness.
Consciousness is the ultimate truth or Brahman because there is no second thing that exists other than consciousness.
From the standpoint of the Soul, the form, time, and space are one, in essence. That essence is consciousness.

Remember:~

In Spirituality or Adyathma, God means the ultimate truth or Brahman. Spiritual God is the Spirit, which is Advaita.
Self–realization is Truth-realization. Truth- realization is God- realization.
Sage Sankara: ~VC~ if the universe is true, let it then be perceived in the state of deep sleep also. As it is not at all perceived, it must be unreal and false like dreams.
That is why Sage Sankara's declaration: ~ “Brahman is the truth the world is unreal everything is Truly Brahman and nothing else has any value.
If you are seeking truth then do not waste time finding a Guru and becoming his slave. The Gurudom belongs to the religious and yogic path and it has nothing to do with the Advaitic path.
Upanishads:~ Fools dwelling in darkness, but thinking they wise and erudite, go round and round, by various tortuous paths, like the blind led by the blind. (Upanishads Nikilanada - Ch II-5 P-14)
There is no need for a Guru, to know you and your Guru, and the world in which you exist is created out of single clay and that single clay is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.
Knowledge of that single stuff is the self-knowledge of Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. Gnana is given neither from outside nor from another person.
There is no need to follow anyone. There is no need to practice anything but perfect understanding and assimilation of ‘what is what’ leads to realizing the truth, which is beyond form, time, and space.
The Soul the ’Self’ reveals ‘what is real’ and ‘what is unreal” when the seeker is receptive and ready.
Sage Sankara says: ~ there is no need to study the Scriptures, to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman
~ then why indulge in studying the scriptures.
Sage Sankara says: ~ there is no need to study philosophy, to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman
~then why indulge in studying philosophies.
Sage Sankara says: ~ there is no need to indulge in rituals, to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman
~then why indulge in rituals.
Sage Sankara says: ~ there is no need to indulge in yoga, to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman
~then why indulge in yoga.
Sage Sankara says the transparent Truth of the Self, which is hidden by the illusion, is to be attained through the instructions of a knower of Brahman, (Gnani)
~ then why you are sticking a Guru who is not a Gnani.
Sage Sankara says: ~ “The exercise in discrimination between real and unreal and renunciation of the false is real meditation, then why you are indulging in other types of meditation.
Those who tell you that Brahman is unity, that you can get it only by intuition, that you should not reason, you should not question or inquire, are deluding you. Verification must come by thought.  : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

Find out:~ What is it that appears as duality and what is it that disappear nonduality?+

Sage Sankara says: ~ “What is accepted without a proper inquiry will not lead to the final Goal”. (Commentary on Vedanta Sutra)
Nothing has to be accepted as truth without verification.
‘WHO AM ‘I’? and ‘I AM THAT are only stages. They are helpful at the beginning of the pursuit of truth. As the seeker advances in his quest for truth, he finds them inadequate and useless.
The inner journey will not end with ‘WHO AM ‘I’? and ‘I AM THAT the journey is incomplete. It is WHO AM ‘I’? and ‘I AM THAT teaching are final because they are only based on the form and they omit the time and space.
The journey will be completed only when we discover the truth of the whole that is the form, time, and space together. Thus, sticking to WHO AM ‘I’? and ‘I AM THAT teaching as final and stopping the journey is a foolish venture.

If you are a serious seeker of truth and you want to realize the truth of your true existence then you must be ready to drop what is not needed in pursuit of truth. Nothing has to be accepted without deeper verification.
If the ‘I’ is true, let it then be perceived in the state of deep sleep also. As it is not at all perceived, it must be unreal and false like dreams.
All the teachings are useless so long as the highest Truth is unknown, and it is equally useless when the highest Truth has already been known.
The seeker has to dive deeper and deeper to unfold the mystery of his true existence.

The basic purpose of seeking truth is to discover the truth of our true existence. The truth of our true existence will be revealed only by discovering the source of physical existence. Physical existence means the universe

Remember:~

First, analyze the universe. How this universe came into existence. And what this universe is supposed to be in truth.

As you go deeper and deeper analyzing you will discover that the universe is dependent on the ‘I’. Without the ‘I’ the universe ceases to exist.
The ‘I’ is the main ingredient to investigate.
As you go deeper you will find: ~
The ‘I’ appears along with the universe.
The ‘I’ disappears along with the universe.
As you go still deeper you will find.
The ‘I’ is there only when the mind is there.
The ‘I’ appears along with the mind.
The ‘I’ disappears along with the mind.
As you go deeper you will find: ~
The mind appears along with the universe.
The mind disappears along with the universe.
As you go deeper you will find: ~
The universe appears along with the waking experience
The universe disappears along with the waking experience.
As you go deeper you will find: ~
The dream universe appears along with the dream.
The dream universe disappears along with the dream.
The dream is a parallel waking experience
The waking experience is a parallel dream.
As you go deeper you will find: ~
‘I’ disappears in deep sleep.
Along with the ‘I', the mind disappears.
Along with ‘I', the universe disappears.
Along with ‘I', the waking disappears.
Along with the ‘I’ dream disappears.
So,
‘I’ is one behind the mind.
The ‘I’ is the one behind the universe.
The ‘I’ is the one behind the waking.
The ‘I’ is the one behind the dream.
So,
Where this ‘I’ disappeared in deep sleep.
As you go deeper you will find: ~
The duality is present only when ‘I’ is present.
The duality is present only when the mind is present.
The duality is present only when the universe is present.
The duality is present only when the waking is present.
The duality is present only when the dream is present.
But
The duality is absent in deep sleep.
The ‘I’ is absent in deep sleep.
The mind is absent in deep sleep.
The universe is absent in deep sleep.
The waking is absent in deep sleep.
The dream is absent in deep sleep.
So,
In deep sleep, there is only nonduality.
So, you have to find out: What is it that appears as duality and what is it that disappears nonduality?

God in truth becomes the universe in waking experience (duality). The universe becomes God in truth in deep sleep (non-duality).+

Evolution theory is applied only to the dualistic illusion. The dualistic illusion is the product of ignorance.

Evolution implies duality. The duality is merely an illusion created out of the Soul, the Self. From the standpoint of the Soul, the Self, real God there is no evaluation at all.

The Soul is the Self is the real God. The Soul is present in the form of consciousness.

Bhagavad Gita: ~Brahmano hi pratisthaham’ ~ Brahman (God) is considered the all-pervading consciousness, which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material. (14.27).

When Bhagavad Gita says, God is considered the all-pervading consciousness which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material then nothing has to be accepted as God other than consciousness.

Lord Krishna says Ch ~V: ~ “Those who know the Self is in truth.". The last two words (tattvataha) are usually ignored by pundits, but they make all the difference between the ordinary concept of God and the truth about God.

The dualistic worship of "God” is only for the ignorant populace. The God in truth is only Atman, the Self. In reality, there is no duality, no differentiation. Only Atman exists.

The Vedas confirm God is Atman (Soul), the Self.

Rig Veda: ~ The Atman (Soul) is the cause; Atman is the support of all that exists in this universe. May ye never turn away from the Atman, the Self. May ye never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman?" (10:48, 5)

Consciousness has neither an inside nor an outside. Consciousness is the source of the universe and that into which the universe finally merges when ignorance vanishes.

God has no evolution because God is the Soul, which is a formless, timeless, and spaceless existence.

God becomes the universe in waking experience (duality) and the universe becomes God in deep sleep (nonduality). The one that becomes dual and nondual is the Soul, the real God, which is present in the form of consciousness.

The look of an object will depend upon the medium through which the observer views it. In fact, our mental and intellectual conditions determine the object (three states), observed and experienced. The commoner viewing the world will see differently from a Gnani viewing the same world. Each one interprets the world that they see in terms of their existing knowledge. The commoner sees everything based on the ego, therefore he sees the world in which he exists as a reality, whereas a Gnani sees everything as consciousness and he is fully aware of the fact that, there is no second thing that exists other than the Soul or consciousness (subject). Thus, all objective observation has to be bifurcated to realize the ultimate truth, which is beyond form, time, and space.

Only from the dualistic perspective, do the changes take place. From a nondualistic perspective, there are no changes. Those who believe in the dualistic world as a reality feel the knowledge changes from time to time but they must realize their knowledge is limited to the form, time, and space whereas the Self-knowledge is the knowledge of the beyond the form, time, and space.

The change is possible only in ignorance. Ignorance is the cause of experiencing the world in which exists as a reality. Consciousness is the cause of the world in which we exist and it, itself is uncaused.

The world in which we exist is dependent on the consciousness for its existence but the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness, is independent. From the standpoint of the Soul, the Self, the world in which we exist is merely an illusion.

Only within the illusion, do the changes take place, the illusory changes within the illusion are bound to be an illusion.

In reality, consciousness alone is real and eternal. Thus, the knowledge of the eternal will be always eternal. The intellectual knowledge based on form, time, and space is bound to change from time to time as science progresses in its dualistic inventions.

Consciousness is ever-changeless because it is a formless, timeless, and spaceless existence. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

Until you discard religion you will never be able to realize the Advaitic truth, which is hidden by dualistic illusion or Maya.+

People in India identify Advaita and Dvaita as their religious traditions inherited from their ancestors. No one questions their validity because it is considered blasphemy to question their religion, their Guru, and Godmen or the pundits.

The Advaitic wisdom of Sage Sankara is pure spirituality. Advaitic wisdom has nothing to do with religion yoga and philosophies. All Advaitic teachings of the Gurus of the East and West are not Advaitic wisdom of Sage Sankara.

Advaita is universal. Advaita is the nature of the Soul, the Self. The world in which you exist is created out of single stuff. That single stuff is consciousness. Knowledge of the single stuff is Advaitic wisdom.

Advaitic truth is very simple, but it is very difficult to realize because you have accumulated mental garbage from different sources in the name of Advaita.

Until you discard religion you will never be able to realize the Advaitic truth, which is hidden by dualistic illusion or Maya.

The Advaita is the nature of the Soul, the Self shines in its own awareness when wisdom dawns.

The Advaita is the Soul is the cause and the support of all that exists as the world in which we exist. Advaita is the nature of God, the innermost Self.

The Advaita is present in the form of consciousness. Advaita is the root element of the universe.

From the Advaita, the universe comes into existence. In the Advaita, the universe resides. And into the Advaita, the universe is dissolved. The Advaita is the parent of all that is there is.

People who are attached to their religious code of conduct and trying to preach Advaita, that is mixing the individual life, and the concept of God and all mixed up hotchpotch religious doctrine and feed the seeking people are themselves not aware of the fact that the individuality and their worldly life is part of the illusion.

Religion is based on the blind belief as truth whereas Spirituality or Adyathma is based on the Athma the ultimate truth or Brahman.

Religion should be discarded to realize the real God hidden by ignorance. Religion is regarded as sacred and real by the common people, by the wise as false, and by the political class as useful.

Religion preaches that God is one and the ways to God are many. It simply tries to lead them to darkness with its dogma and idea of many Gods, which are apart from the Self.

Religion is based on the false self (ego) and false experience (world) thus; all religious beliefs are falsehoods.

Everyone likes religion because it belongs to the world of sentiments and emotions. Religion changes as it appeals to different emotions. One will find at one pole the nude Sadhu is admired; at the other, the gorgeous life-styled Godman is revered. Belief in religious prohibitions arises out of fear of God's punishment.

The man himself suggests that there must be a God. It is an auto-suggestion. To say that one knows God exists always implies he must also exist always. It would be correct to say at this point, he does not know about the existence of God because God's existence depends on the individualized belief

People magnify every minor coincidence or every petty fact where yogis or Good men were concerned, and they see the miraculous or esoteric significance therein.

Religion is “believers Truth”; spirituality is “Truth for the seeker of truth.” This means a believer takes his feeling of truth whereas the seeker of truth takes his reasoned judgment, which will be the same under test everywhere in the universe.

The position of the seeker of truth is this: he has not seen God. He does not know his capacities, what God can do, and what God cannot do. Therefore any statement he might make about God would only be a lie.

The seeker of truth does not wish to tell a lie. Therefore he does not accept God nor deny Him; he simply refuses to make any statement about God.

Each sect concocts a God to suit its own purposes. Belief in such concocted Gods is a great hindrance in the pursuit of truth. The man himself suggests that there must be a God. It is an auto-suggestion.

Prayers and sacrifices belong to a premature stage of development. When no answers come to prayers to their God based on blind faith, then doubt arises about the existence of such God.

Belief in religion weakens as the man pays more attention to the facts of his practical life within the practical world.

People who argue that truth is only in their religion are vain logicians based on mere ideas and imaginations. Religions that say "If one follows the religion they will go to heaven, while others “go to hell," are stories invented on the base of false Self within the false experience.

Religious truth is not the ultimate truth because it always shows a contradiction. A contradiction arises because a different person's interpretation may disagree with others.

Remember:~

Brihadaranyaka Upanishad says:~ "He who worships the deities as entities entirely separate from the Self does not know the truth. For the Gods, he is like a pasu (beast)". (1. 4. 10)

Sage Sankara said:~ Talk as much philosophy as you like, worship as many Gods as you please, observe ceremonies, and sing devotional hymns, but liberation will never come, even after a hundred aeons, without realizing the Oneness.

Rituals prayers and ceremonies of different religions and cults are not tools for Self-realization. They keep one in the cage of ignorance.

Attachment to the rigid devotion to the religious beliefs of God limits one to think within the framework of the illusory division of form, time, and space.

Diverse beliefs of religion and its diverse idea of God create divisions between one religion and another. The rituals and ceremonies become an obstacle in realizing the religious God one believes and worships is not God in truth. Religion becomes an obstacle to realizing the real God hidden by ignorance.

The seeker of truth is keener to realize the ‘Self hidden by the dualistic illusion. The seeker of truth has only one desire and longing — that of union with the Soul or God in truth.

A seeker is never entangled with the religion, rituals, yoga, and physical Gurus and never allows himself to be overpowered by any attachment emotions and sentiment

The rituals mentioned in the karmakanda of the Vedas are sought to be negated in the jnanakanda which is also part of the same scripture. While the karmakanda enjoins upon you the worship of various deities and lays down rules for the same, the jnanakanda constituted by the Upanishads ridicules the worshipper of deities as a dim-witted person no better than a beast.

This seems strange, the latter part of the Vedas contradicting the former part. The first part deals throughout with karma, while the second or concluding part is all about jnana. Owing to this difference, people have gone so far as to divide our scripture into two sections: the Vedas (that is the first part) to mean the karmakanda and the Upanishads (Vedanta) to mean the jnanakanda.

Bhagavad Gita: ~ ‘All those whose intelligence has been stolen by material desires, they worship many Gods. (7- Verse -20)

Only the path of wisdom leads the seeker of truth on his journey to the ultimate realization of the true nature of the Universal Essence, which is the Soul, the ultimate truth, or Brahman or God in truth.

Bhagavad Gita: 7: 19:~ "Such a man who has attained true knowledge, the knowledge of Self, the knowledge of Atman, worships ‘Self’ as~ Atman (God) alone exists~ everything is Atman, there exists nothing except Atman. Such a man is extremely rare.

Sage Sankara:~ VC- v6~ Let erudite scholars quote all the scripture, let Gods be invoked through sacrifices, let elaborate rituals be performed, let personal Gods be propitiated---yet, without the realization of one‘s identity With the Self, there shall be no liberation for the individual, not even in the lifetimes of a hundred Brahmas put together

Remember:~

Even Rig Veda: ~ The Atman is the cause; Atman is the support of all that exists in this universe. May ye never turn away from the Atman, the Self. May ye never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman?" (10:48, 5)

No mantras help to get rid of ignorance. All the mantras and rituals are meant for the ignorant populace, which strongly believes, in the world in which he exists as a reality. For one who wants to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana, the mantas will not help to realize the truth, which is beyond the form, time, and space.

That is why Sage Sankara:~ VC~.61- For one who has been bitten by the serpent of Ignorance, the only remedy is the knowledge of Brahman. Of what avail are the Vedas and (other) Scriptures, Mantras (sacred formulae), and medicines to such a one?

VC- v6~ Let erudite scholars quote all the scripture, let Gods be invoked through sacrifices, let elaborate rituals be performed, let personal Gods be propitiated---yet, without the realization of one‘s identity With the Self, there shall be no liberation for the individual, not even in the lifetimes of a hundred Brahmas put together

Sage Sankara goes on to say: ~A sickness of not cured by saying the word “medicine.” You must take the medicine. Liberation does not come by merely saying the word “Brahman.” Brahman must be experienced. Until you allow this apparent universe to dissolve from your consciousness until you have realized Brahman, how can you find liberation just by saying the word Brahman? The result is merely noise. Until a man has destroyed his enemies and taken possession of the splendor and wealth of the kingdom, he cannot become a king by simply saying “I am a king.”

A buried treasure is not uncovered by merely uttering the words: “Come forth.” You must follow the right directions, dig, remove the stones and earth from above it, and then make it, your own. In the same way, the pure truth of the Atman, which is buried under Maya and the effects of Maya, can be reached by meditation, contemplation, and other spiritual disciplines but never by subtle arguments.

As indicated in ISH Upanishads: ~ “By worshipping Gods and Goddesses you will go after death to the world of Gods and Goddesses. But will that help you? The time you spent there is wasted because if you were not there you could have spent that time moving forward towards Self-knowledge, which is your goal. In the world of Gods and Goddesses, you cannot do that, and thus, you go deeper and deeper into darkness.

It clearly indicates that: -If the human goal is to acquire Self-Knowledge then why one has to indulge in rituals and glorify the conceptual Gods, Goddesses, and Gurus to go into deeper darkness. Instead, spend that time moving forward towards Self-knowledge, which is one’s prime goal. :~Santthosh Kumaar

Sage Sankara has already declared what is truth and what is untruth and made it very easy for the seekers of truth.+

Your quest is over. There is no need to search for the truth. Sage Sankara has already declared what is truth and what is untruth and made it very easy for the seekers of truth.
Till you realize the whole universe is an illusion you will not be able to realize the ‘Self’ hidden by the universe.
In fact, Sage Sankara states a paradox- the world is and is not. It is neither real nor unreal. It leads us to recognize the existence of Maya (illusion). He thinks that the world is illusory from one perspective and from the second it is nothing but Brahman(God), Itself in manifestation. This apparent world is Maya and has its basis in Brahman, the Eternal. It looks real. It has names and forms and actually, it is not real In the light of true knowledge, it disappears and Self-alone shines as real. However, Sage Sankara's Mayavada has not been accepted by many preachers and philosophers.
When Sage Sankara says clearly, the universe is not real. He says that Brahman and Atman are one. The ultimate and the Absolute Truth is the Self, which is one though appearing as many in different individuals. The individual has no reality. Only the Soul, the Self is Real; the rest, mental and physical are but passing appearances, then it indicates the form (waking or duality or mind) is unreal and the formless soul (consciousness or soul) is real. Therefore, only Atman is real because there is no second thing that exists other than Atman, which is in the form of consciousness.
The Soul, which is present in the form of the consciousness, is the ultimate truth or Brahman.
To search for this truth there is no need to struggle. To understand, assimilate, and realize this truth you have to drop all your accumulated knowledge and stick to the truth. The truth is the Soul, the Self, which is present in the form of the consciousness.
By realizing no second thing exists other than the consciousness because the world in which you exist is nothing but the consciousness.
There is no need to read books, there is no need to indulge in arguments, and there is no need to indulge in yoga to get Self-realization.
You have to only realize the ‘‘Self’’ is not you and ‘‘Self’ is not within your body because the ‘‘Self’’ is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. Consciousness pervades all the three states. All three states are created out of consciousness. For anything to exist the consciousness has to be there.
The ultimate truth or Brahman dwells within the three states like fragrance in the flower; Musk lies within the Musk-deer yet seeks it afar."
Until one traces the truth within the three states the illusion of birth, life, death, and the world is experienced as a reality.
Remember:~

That is why Sage Sri Sankara Says: ~ VC-63. Without causing the objective universe to vanish and without knowing the truth of the ‘Self’ how is one to achieve Liberation by the mere utterance of the word Brahman? — It would result merely in an effort of speech.
What is the use of saying ‘I AM THAT’ without knowing what the ‘Self’ is in actuality? Without knowing the truth of the Self, without realizing the truth of the world in which you exist it is impossible to realize the truth beyond the form, time, and space. By a mere utterance of the word ‘I AM THAT', the truth will not be revealed.
Sage Sankara: ~VC~ if the universe is true, let it then be perceived in the state of deep sleep also. As it is not at all perceived, it must be unreal and false like dreams.
That is why Sage Sankara's declaration: ~ “Brahman is the truth the world is unreal everything is truly Brahman and nothing else has any value.

The religion is based on the ego, which is the false self (ego) within the false experience (waking). Spirituality has nothing to do with religion.
Spirituality or Adyathma is based on the Spirit, which is present in the form of the Soul, the Self.
The Vedas are based on the Spirit because they hold God as the Spirit.
Yajurveda – chapter- 32:~ God is Supreme Spirit has no ‘Pratima’ (idol) or material shape. God cannot be seen directly by anyone. God pervades all beings and all directions. Thus, Idolatry does not find any support from the Vedas.
Vedas and Upanishads confirm the Soul, the Self, is present in the form of the Spirit or the consciousness.
Rig Veda: ~ The Atman (Soul or Spirit) is the cause; Atman is the support of all that exists in this universe. May ye never turn away from the Atman, the Self. May ye never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman?" (10:48, 5)
The Spirit is the root element of the universe. The Spirit is present in the form of the Soul, the Self. The Soul is present in the form of consciousness.

From the Spirit, the universe comes into existence. In the Spirit, the universe resides. And into the Spirit, the universe is dissolved. The Spirit is the parent of all that is there is.
Even Brihadaranyaka Upanishad: ~ Brahman (God in truth) is present in the form of the Athma, and it is indeed Athma itself.
There is a clear-cut idea of God in the Vedas, Upanishad, and Bhagavad Gita. And also there is a clear-cut idea of what not to worship as God in place of real God. Thus, it proves from a Vedic perspective the Puranic Gods are not Vedic Gods.
Vedas say never to accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman.
One must remember that for all periods the Vedas are the final goal and authority, and if the Puranas differ in any respect from the Vedas, the Puranas are to be rejected without mercy.
If you feel the Puranas say something and the Vedas say something else, reject the Puranas and believe in the Vedas. The Puranas are just a myth.
India takes pride in being the descendants of the Sages of Truth who gave the Advaita the ultimate truth. The Advaitic truth is the truth beyond the form, time, and space.
All the mythological God's existence is a myth. Such Gods can exist only within the dualistic illusion. Thus, the existence of such Gods is illusory.
Mythological God and Goddesses are based on belief. The belief is not God. The belief implies duality. From the ultimate standpoint, the duality is merely an illusion.
Thus, whatever one sees, knows, believes, and experiences within the dualistic illusion is bound to be an illusion.
Mythological stories are a myth. Whatever is based on myth is merely a superstition.
Mythology was introduced in the past for the ignorant masses. It has to be discarded as one progresses in his spiritual advancement.
Swami Vivekananda:~ This bending the knee to superstitions, this selling yourself to your own mind does not befit you, the Soul. Self is infinite, deathless, and birthless. Because the Self is infinite Spirit, it does not befit you to be a slave. ... Arise! Awake! Stand up and fight! Die if you must. There is none to help you. Self is the entire world. Who can help you?
Mythology breeds superstition, blind belief, senseless rituals, and most irrational and gives them a divine outlook.
Swami Vivekananda: ~ If superstition enters, the brain is gone. Superstition is our great enemy, but bigotry is worse.
Mythological stories religious are fables, yet are taken seriously by pundits. All these stories are a reality within the dualistic illusion. The waking experience is a dualistic illusion.
Thus, whatever belongs to the dualistic illusion is bound to be a falsehood. In reality, there is no duality because there is only Oneness.
That the ancient sages had miraculous occult power and books related stories of their feats, are fairy tales were meant for children and those whose minds had not developed.

That is why Sage Sankara said:~ Talk as much philosophy as you like, worship as many gods as you please, observe ceremonies, and sing devotional hymns, but liberation will never come, even after a hundred aeons, without realizing the Oneness. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar
