You are being conditioned by the religious myth which has made you a non-thinker. Come out of the religious myth by realizing God in truth.

Religion is regarded as sacred and real by the common people, by the wise as false, and by the politicians as useful.

The religion injects false beliefs as reality and makes hallucinate with its dogmas. Religion is always successful in brainwashing its followers with its imaginary ideas of ‘what happens after death, which nobody can deny it. And also, if any religious head claims that he has seen God by intuition~ the religious believers never disprove it. The onus of proof is on those who make an assertion.

Religionists and mystics are required to prove; that the burden to disprove is not on their critics.

Why have there been so many conflicting religions, or so many divisions and subdivisions of religion, if it is true?

It is high time to correct the past error to move forward in the right direction to reach the ultimate end of understanding and realization.

The seeker has to ignore the religion and its rituals and search for the truth of the existence. Religion and religious rituals are unsafe rafts for crossing the ocean of ignorance.

Doomed to shipwreck are those who try to cross the ocean of ignorance on these poor rafts or rituals. Ignorant of their own ignorance, yet wise in their own esteem, these deluded people proud of their vain learning go round and round like the blind led by the blind.

The essence of Mundaka Upanishad is: Do not be satisfied with rituals, yoga, etc. which are good in their own way but inquire. Into what? Brahman and Atman are things you can never see. So do not inquire into them. Inquire into the world around you, which you can see. Science tells you it is passing away every second. Everything is dying repeatedly. Where is it going? Thus you follow up your inquiry into what you can lay your hands on. How can you inquire into Atma which you cannot see? So first we deal with the known and seen, this inquiry leads up to the unknown in the end.

Sage Goudpada: ~ To establish the truth of Non-duality by sheer reasoning alone. He begins by defining "What is real?" "What is unreal?" etc, because that is the right way to understand and assimilate. People must first know what they are talking about. (Manduka Karika)

The path of wisdom is divided into three parts:~

First:- Hearing the truth--that the consciousness is the only reality and that the universe along with you is merely an illusion or Maya.

Second:- Reasoning upon these words of wisdom of Sage Sankara from all points of view.

Third:- Giving up all further argumentation and realizing the truth. This realization comes from being certain that consciousness is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth.

The Self refers to Athma, not you. There is no proper English word to refer to Athma. Athma means existence.

Athma is ever nondual in its nature. Athma is the cause of the illusory universe in which you exist.

English word 'Self' translated by the translators of the scriptures of the east and west mislead the seeking world.

Rig Veda: ~ 'Prajnanam Brahma'- Consciousness is the ultimate reality or Brahman or God in truth.

God in truth is the Atman, the Self. Atman is present in the form of consciousness.

Do not accept any other God other than Atman not worship other than Atman.

Let these words be inscribed in your subconscious.

Nothing is real but God. Nothing Matters but love for God in truth. God in truth is everywhere and in everything.

God in truth is hidden by the illusory universe. God in truth alone is and all else is an illusion.:~Santthosh Kumaar

From consciousness, the universe comes. When the universe disappears, consciousness still remains without form, time, and space.+

Sage Sankara ~ VC~ "All this universe which through ignorance appears as of diverse forms, is nothing else but Brahman (Soul) which is absolutely free from all the limitations of Maya.

Ashtavakra Gita: ~ “The universe raises from the Soul, the Self like bubbles from the sea. Thus, know the Self to be One and in this way enter into the state of dissolution."

Consciousness is ever nondual. The duality is merely an illusion. The consciousness that appears to be a duality is merely an illusion.

Do not accept any other truth other than consciousness. Consciousness is the ultimate truth. Nothing is real but consciousness.

Realize consciousness as the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth. Consciousness is everywhere and in everything. Let these words be inscribed in your subconscious.

Self-awareness is the state of non-dual reality. That is the state of Advaita.

People never realize non-dualistic awareness through religion and yoga.

Self-awareness raises only by mentally transcending the dualistic illusion into non-dualistic reality.

Remember:~

Consciousness is the cause of the universe and it itself is uncaused. The universe is nothing but consciousness.

Modern science has yet to discover that consciousness is the cause of the universe, which was discovered and declared by Sage Sankara in the 8th century.

Advaitic Gnana here is knowledge un-contradictable truth or scientific truth. Thus their scientific truth of the whole, not a part is declared by Sage Sankara.

Consciousness is the cause of the universe in which we exist and it itself is uncaused. Consciousness alone is real and eternal, and the universe in which we exist is merely an illusion created out of consciousness.

Sage Sankara says: ~ “Atman is Brahman. The Atman alone is real and is not religious truth. Sage Sankara declared this Advaitic truth, which is the ultimate truth to the whole world, many centuries back is a rational truth, scientific truth, and ultimate truth.

Thus, the Atman (Soul) which is present in the form of consciousness is real and eternal, the world in which we exist is merely an illusion.

Then there is no need for the scriptures, religion, and the idea of God. One has to be more rational to realize the Advaitic truth, which is the ultimate truth or scientific truth.:~Santthosh Kumaar

The seeker of truth must discard the holy business of Gurudom to get Self-realization.+

Gurudom is nothing to do with Advaitic wisdom. Gurudom belongs to religion and yoga.

Religion and yoga are nothing to do with spirituality. Advaitic wisdom is pure spirituality.

Unless you bifurcate religion and yoga from spirituality there is no hope of getting Self-realization.

All the Advaitic Gurus of the east and west who propagate Advaita from a dualistic and orthodox perspective thus, they are inadequate and useless to acquiring the Advaitic wisdom of Sage Sankara.

Sage Sankara says:~ VC-162- There is no liberation for a person of mere book-knowledge, howsoever well-read in the philosophy of Vedanta, so long as one does not give up the false identification with the body, sense organs, etc., which are unreal.

Sage Sankara says:~ VC-47 All the effects of ignorance, root, and branch, are burnt down by the fire of knowledge, which arises from discrimination between these two—the Self and the not-Self.

Sage Sankara: ~ "Though I wear these robes of a Sanyasin, it is only for the sake of bread." (Select Works of Sage Sankara" also his commentary on Brihad)

Thus, the above passage proves that all those who ware the sannyasin robes are wearing it for the sake of bread belong to the religion; they are nothing to do with the Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.

There is no need to criticize and condemn the Gurus, yogis, and swamis because they are needed for the welfare of the ignorant masses in the dualistic world.

Remember:~

Sage Sankara says the transparent Truth of the Self, which is hidden by the illusion, is to be attained through the instructions of a knower of Brahman, (Gnani).

~ Then why you are sticking a Guru who is not a Gnani?

Swami Vivekananda: This bending the knee to superstitions, this selling yourself, to your own mind does not befit you, the Soul. Self is infinite, deathless, and birthless. Because the Self is infinite Spirit, it does not befit you to be a slave. ... Arise! Awake!

Swami Vivekananda: ~ Worship your Guru as God, but do not obey him blindly; love him all you will, but think for yourself. No blind belief can save you, work out your own salvation.

That is why Swami Vivekananda said: ~ “You have to grow from the inside out. None can teach you, and none can make you spiritual. There is no other teacher, but the Soul.”

The Gurudom may succeed to a limited extent in the West by appealing to the emotions of western people by creating a new cult with diverse theories of Hinduism. The ultimate truth is beyond religion, yoga, and scriptures.

When the ‘Self is not you but the Soul why you are thinking of the physical Guru worshiping him? Such an act keeps you permanently in ignorance. Come out of the religious conditioning by realizing the ‘Self is not you but the ‘Self’ is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

If you are unable to come out of the Guru/disciple game you are not qualified for Advaitic wisdom.

This idea of worshiping God in human form, Gurus as God is not a Vedic idea but adopted from Jainism and Buddhism.

Vedas bars human worship: ~

Yajurveda:~ "They are enveloped in darkness, in other words, are steeped in ignorance and sunk in the greatest depths of misery who worship the uncreated, eternal Prakrthi -- the material cause of the world -- in place of the All-pervading God, But those who worship visible things born of the Prakrthi, such as the earth, trees, bodies (human and the like) in place of God are enveloped in still greater darkness, in other words, they are extremely foolish, fall into an awful hell of pain and sorrow, and suffer terribly for a long time."-(Yajurveda 40:9.)

Why worship and glorify the Gurus and Yogis (human form) in place of God when Veda bars such activities and it also warns people who indulge in such activities are enveloped in still greater darkness, in other words, they are extremely foolish, fall into an awful hell of pain and sorrow, and suffer terribly for a long time.

No one has ever seen God by practicing religion or yoga or indulging in glorifying the religious God and Goddesses because God exists prior to the form, time, and space. The form, time, and space cease to exist as a reality when wisdom dawns.

Gods and Gurus have no place in the domain of the Advaitic reality. Advaita is the nature of the Soul, which is the real God. Thus, Self-realization is the only way to God-realization.

By worshiping the religious Gods and Gurus one will not get Self-realization or God-realization.

The Soul, the inner Guru reveals ‘what is real and ‘what is unreal” when the seeker is receptive and ready

Remember:~

People of small intelligence follow religion and believe that the world was created by God. But how do they know that He did so? When a pot is created, one can see both pot and its maker, but not in the case of the world.

By believing and worshiping what is not truth (God), one is in the prison of the dualistic illusion. Truth realization or Self-realization is God-realization. Self-realization itself is real worship.

A person who realized the ultimate truth or Brahman will throw off his religious robe and all religious identity and live like a commoner.

A Gnani never identifies himself as a Gnani nor does he identify himself as superior to others. He only shares his knowledge with fellow seekers.

A Gnani never identifies himself as a Guru or a Yogi or someone disciple. The one who accepts himself as a Guru or someone’s disciple is not a Gnani.

Ashtavakra Samhita: ~ "The man of knowledge (Gnani), though living like an ordinary man, is contrary to him and only those like him understand his state.

A Gnani can point at the sky, but the seeing of the star is the seeker's own work.

Remember:~

People assume Guru or Godmen are great because other people say so, or that he is wise because he himself says so, or that what he teaches is true because it attracts them. Such an attitude and easy assumptions become an obstacle to unfolding the truth and it requires some trouble to put into effect.

All the Gurus and yogis are holy people who belong to religion and yoga, not spirituality. Advaitic Gnana is nothing to do with the Gurus, yogis, pundits, and priests.

Advaitic Gnana is not for those who believe in religion, religious Gods, and are stuck up with religious rituals and ceremonies.

Religious believers are not truth-seekers because they have accepted their religious beliefs as the ultimate truth.

Advaitic Gnana is knowledge of the Spirit, the God in truth. God in truth is Advaita, the one without the Second.

Those who claim to be holy people get themselves worshiped as God are ignorant because they are unaware of the fact that the world in which they exist is a dualistic illusion.

Devotion to the physical Guru will not yield Advaitic Gnana because you and your physical gurus are part and parcel of the dualistic illusion. You have to transcend the dualistic illusion by getting rid of ignorance through Advaitic Gnana. Advaitic Gnana comes only through a perfect understanding of ‘what is what.

Those seekers who refuse to accept other than their Gurus world are unfit to acquire Self-knowledge. Their ‘I KNOW’ attitude blocks them from accepting other than what they know as the ultimate truth.

By worshiping Gods in human form, repeating mantras is like watering barren soil.

The seeker of truth should not waste life in empty formalities. Without realizing the world in which he exists is merely an illusion it is impossible to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.

By following Gurus and sticking to physical Gurus one will not get Self-realization or God-realization.

People who say ‘I AM GOD’ or ‘I AM BRAHMAN’ or ‘I AM THAT’ is merely repeating like a parrot, words,which they have read.+

The ‘Self’ is not within you but the ‘Self’ is hidden by the universe. The ‘Self’ is hidden by the universe because the universe is created out of the Self. The Self is not ‘you’ but is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

All the ‘I-centric’ and ‘you-centric’ Gurus spin the yarn of their imagination based on 'I'. From, Advaitic perspective, the ‘I-centric’ and you-centric Gurus and their teachings have no value because they will not help the seeker to reach the ultimate end of understanding.

That is why Ashtavakra Gita 16:10:~ If you desire liberation, but you still say ‘I’, if you feel the ’Self’’ is the ‘I’, you are not a wise man or a seeker. You are simply a man who suffers.

The ‘Self’ means existence. The existence is hidden by the illusory form, time, and space. Those who say ‘I AM THAT without even knowing what the ‘Self is supposed to be in actuality. The Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness is the existence hidden by the illusory form, time, and space.

That is why Sage Sankara says: ~ VC-60- The Scriptures consisting of many words are a dense forest that merely causes the mind to ramble. Hence men of wisdom should earnestly set about knowing the true nature of the ‘Self’.

People who say ‘I AM GOD’ or ‘I AM BRAHMAN’ or ‘I AM THAT’ are merely repeating like parrot words that they have read in the scriptures or heard. It does not prove that they have realized the ultimate truth or Brahman.

With bookish or hearsay knowledge it is unable to prove that everything is Atman. One has to do lots of homework to realize the 'Self'.

Yoga Vasistha says: ~ Self-knowledge or knowledge of truth is not had by resorting to a Guru (preceptor) nor by the study of scripture, nor by good works: it is attained only by means of inquiry inspired by the company of wise (Gnani). One’s inner light alone is the means, naught else. When this inner light is kept alive, it is not affected by the darkness of inertia.

The Upanishads say: ~

Mundaka Upanishad 1:2:8: ~ “Remaining in the fold of ignorance and thinking “we are extremely wise and learned,” the fools with boastful nature ramble about like the blind led by the blind alone.”

Mundaka Upanishad 3:2:3: ~ “The weak and timid cannot realize the Self. Self-Realization is not possible through intellect or hearing spiritual discourse. One who welcomes God in every activity, through a thorough controlled and disciplined life, to him also the Soul is revealed.

Katha Upanishad 1:2:23: ~ The Soul cannot be realized through hearing the scholarly explanation of the discourses, not even by the intellect.

Katha Upanishad 1:3:6: ~ “Through the knowledge of the Soul God, one is pure and clean constantly.” Neither by reading the books, nor by taking a bath at the holy place has one become pure. Inner purity is possible when one remains in constant touch with the Soul. Constant Soul Consciousness is the real purity.

Kena Upanishad 2:4: ~ When it is known through every state of cognition, it is rightly known, for (by such knowledge) one attains life eternal. Through one's own Self, one gains power and through wisdom, one gains immortality.

Kena Upanishad 2:5: ~ If here one knows it, then there is the truth, and if here one knows it not, there is a great loss. Hence, seeing the Real in all beings, wise men become immortal on departing from this world.

The scriptures are being added to from time to time. This process will go on. There is the final authority among them? One contradicts the other: duality reigns supreme.

The Upanishads are Self-contradictory. Every pundit even gives conflicting interpretations of them. The final authority, therefore, is using one’s own reason. One should apply his reason to them.

The scriptures are for ignorant masses, who wholly accept the material world as it presents itself. Gnana is for those who have begun to realize that things are not what they seem.

The Scriptures are of value only when dealing with persons who are incapable of understanding the truth. They have no value as authority for those who use reason. I quote only verified citations from the scriptures. I need no scriptures, but I quote them to help the seekers realize what the scriptures are saying.

Remember:~

’I’ is not the ‘Self’ and the ‘Self’ is not the 'I '. 'I ' is bound by form, time, and space. Without form, time, and space, the ‘I’ cease to exist. Holding, ‘I’ as the ‘Self’, the Soul, the ‘Self’ remains in the clutches of dualistic illusion or Maya.

When there is duality then there is ignorance. Ignorance is the cause of experiencing the dualistic illusion or Maya as a reality.

One, who identifies the ‘Self’ as the ‘I’, will not be able to cross the threshold of dualistic illusion. There is no point in saying 'I ' or 'I AM THAT' because the '‘Self’' is that which witnesses the 'I ' and the world together without the physical apparatus.

The dualistic illusion is present in the form of the ‘I’. ‘I’ is present in the form of the mind. The mind is in the form of the universe.

The universe appears as a waking or dream (duality) and disappears as deep sleep (nonduality). The individual experiences of birth, life, death, and the world are within the waking experience. The dream is a parallel waking experience and waking is a parallel dream.

Bhagavad Gita: ~ The permanent is always there, only the transient ‘I’ comes and goes. (2.18)

The nonduality is the nature of the Soul. Therefore, the Soul becomes the mind (I). And mind (I) becomes the Soul. The Soul and mind (I) are one in essence. That essence is the Soul which is present in the form of consciousness. The consciousness is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth.

Remember this:~

The Self is not the ‘I’. The ‘I’ is present in the form of the mind. The origin of the mind is the Soul. The mind is present in the form of the universe. The Soul is present in the form of consciousness. The root of the universe is consciousness.

Thus, saying ‘I AM THAT ’ keeps one in the domain of the dualistic illusion. The duality is not reality. The duality is a product of ignorance. The body, ego, and the world are of the ignorant.

When wisdom dawns the ignorance disappears. When ignorance disappears the duality will never be a reality even though there is duality, it is merely an illusion created out of single stuff. That single stuff is the Soul which is present in the form of consciousness.

The Soul is the Self. The Self is God. It is not “I AM GOD, but it’s correct to say ‘the SELF IS GOD because the Self is not the ‘I’ or ’I AM” but the ‘Self’ is the witness of the ‘I’ or I AM”. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

Only the ignorant identify themselves as a Guru or some Guru’s disciple.+

If you are stuck to any physical Guru or if you identify yourself with any Guru’s disciple then your spiritual journey is incomplete.

The Guru is not needed to realize the Self. The knowledge arises from within. The real Self is prior to the idea 'I' which is the beginning of all of the apparent manifestations. As the levels of mistaken understanding are whittled away, this truth is able to reach out, as it were, and clear away the final barrier of the ego itself.

If you are trying to become a Guru or Monk then you are unfit to acquire Self-knowledge. Someone posing as a Gnani because he is some Gurus’ direct disciple cannot be a Gnani. Those who pose themselves as Gnanis are not Gnanis. A Gnani never poses himself as a Guru, a swami, a sadhu or a yogi, or some Guru’s disciple.

Different Gurus and teachers are pointing out the understanding of the Advaitic truth from different standpoints. All such understanding of Advaita is on a dualistic perspective accumulated from here and there.

Remember:~

Sage Sankara: ~ "Though I wear these robes of a Sanyasin, it is only for the sake of bread."

Sage Sankara: ~ A Gnani "bears no outward mark of a holy man" (Stanza 539).

Thus, it proves that the religious gurus and yogis are not Gnanis because they identified themselves as holy people.

A Gnani never claims himself as a Gnani, he guides the seekers, not posing himself as a Guru, and he does not force his wisdom on others.

Advaita is not a theory or a philosophy. Advaita is the nature of the Soul the innermost Self. There is no need for any theory or philosophy or scriptures to acquire Self-knowledge. Only a perfect understanding of ‘what is what’- is needed.

Sticking to physical Guru is sticking to ignorance. If you hold yourself as a follower or disciple of a Guru then you are stuck by accepting the dualistic illusion as reality

Only the ignorant identify themselves as a Guru or some Guru’s disciple.

For those who are seeking truth nothing but the truth, this Gurudom business becomes a great hindrance in the truth-realization.

The Advaitic wisdom is not suited for the unsettled mindset, which is to stick to the religion, yoga, and all non-~Vedic worship and activities. There is no use in convincing such a mindset.

Everyone is free to move on his chosen path. The ignorant (unsettled mind) will not be able to grasp the esoteric truth, which is beyond form, time, and space. there is no use to convince the unsettled mind because they are unfit to tread the Atmic path.

The goal of the truth-seeker is to acquire Self- knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana is inherent in every seeker of truth. Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana does not come from outside, it is hidden within the world in which we exist.

Self-knowledge cannot be attained by the study of the scriptures and intellectual understanding or by bookish knowledge. Therefore, there is no use in studying the scriptures and other scriptures in order to acquire non-dual wisdom.

That is why Bhagavan Buddha rejected the scriptures, and even Sage Sankara indicated that the ultimate truth lies beyond religion, the concept of God, and the scriptures.

The seeker has to independently strive to realize the truth without any guru or any teaching.:~Santthosh Kumaar

Knowledge of Atma is Adyatma. Advaita is Adyatma. Sage Sankara 's Advaitic wisdom is pure spirituality or Adyathma.+

The Advaita is present in the form of consciousness. Advaita is the root element of the universe. From the Advaita, the universe comes into existence. In the Advaita, the universe resides. And into the Advaita, the universe is dissolved. The Advaita is the parent of all that is there.

Religion is nothing to do with Advaita. Advaitic sect belongs to religion. Advaita is pure spirituality. The Advaitic sect is dualistic is nothing to do with the Advaitic truth which is hidden by the illusion. Mixing religion and spirituality is like mixing oil and water.

Religion and its sects are based on form, time, and space whereas Spirituality is based on the Atman the formless, timeless, and spaceless existence.

Religions hold birth, life, death, and the world as a reality. From the ultimate standpoint, the world in which we exist is an illusion created out of the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

Advaitic sect holds the world (illusion) as a reality whereas the Sage Sankara says the universe as an illusion. Therefore, the individual experience of birth, life, death, rebirth, sin, karma, and personal gods and rituals belongs to the illusion. 

Thus Advaitic religious sect is a path meant for the ignorant populace, which is incapable of grasping the Advaitic wisdom hidden by the Maya or illusion. :~Santthosh Kumaar
