Remember, the religious God worshiped by you is not God in truth according to your own scriptures.+

Worshipping God without knowing what God is supposed to be in actuality is not of any use. Remember, the religious God worshiped by you is not God in truth according to your own scriptures.

First, realize what God is supposed to be in truth. Being ignorant of the truth is being ignorant of God in truth.

Bhagavad Gita:~ All those whose intelligence has been stolen by material desires, they worship many Gods. (7- Verse -20)

Even the Bhagavad Gita says: ~ Brahmano hi pratisthaham ~ Brahman (God in truth) is considered the all-pervading consciousness, which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material. (14.27).

When Bhagavad Gita says, God is considered the all-pervading consciousness which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material then nothing has to be accepted as God other than consciousness.

Even Brihadaranyaka Upanishad: ~ Brahman (God) is present in the form of the Athma, and it is indeed Athma itself.

Religious Gods are based on blind belief. Religious God cannot be considered as the center because the Soul and the ‘Self’ is the center of all that exists. Without the Soul, the world in which you exist ceases to exist, which means the religious God is dependent on the Soul for his existence.

Even Rig Veda: ~ The Atman is the cause; Atman is the support of all that exists in this universe. May ye never turn away from the Atman, the Self. May ye never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman?" (10:48, 5)

The Brihadaranyaka Upanishad:~ "He who worships the deities as entities entirely separate from him does not know the truth. For the Gods, he is like a pasu (beast)". (1. 4. 10)

Kena Upanishad (6) Chapter I: ~ “That which cannot be apprehended by the mind, but by which, they say, the mind is apprehended- That alone know as Brahman, and not that which people here worship.

Kena Upanishad (7) Chapter I:~ That which cannot be perceived by the eye, but by which the eye is perceived- That alone know as Brahman and not that which people here worship.

Kena Upanishad (8) Chapter I:~ That which cannot be heard by the ear, but by which the hearing is perceived- That alone know as Brahman and not that which people here worship.

Kena Upanishad (9)- Chapter I:~ That which cannot be smelt by the breath, but by which the breath smells an object- That alone know as Brahman, and not that which people here worship.

When Upanishad itself says:~ “sarvam khalvidam brahma - All this (universe) is verily Brahman. By following back all of the relative appearances in the world, we eventually return to that from which it is all manifest – the non-dual reality (Chandogya Upanishad).

Then it is no use going a roundabout way, tracing the Brahman (God in truth) which is the formless substance and witness of the universe, which is in the form of mind.

By tracing the source of the mind or universe one will be able to realize the Brahman (God). : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

From the Advaitic perspective, the interpretation of the word is "liberation from ignorance.+

Moksha meaning liberation from the cycle of transmigration pertains to the lower or purely religious sphere. This doctrine is on the lower level because it is based on the reality of form, time, and space.

From the Advaitic perspective, the interpretation of the word is "liberation from ignorance." Similarly, the word Nirvana is interpreted in Buddhist countries as a means of release from the cycle of births and deaths. This too is the popular interpretation, not philosophical which is precisely the same as the Advaitic perspective.

It is quite true that Buddha constantly taught that man should seek release from transmigratory existence, but we must remember however that what the sage knows is known only to himself in its fullness and that he gives out to the public only so much as they could grasp and no more

Remember:~

The history of Advaita is replete with interpretation and reinterpretation of Sage  Sankara’s philosophical work the generation of Advaita followers that succeeded Sage Sankara wrote many commentaries on Sage Sankara’s work each commentator claimed that he grasped the essence and true intent of Sage  Sankara and went on to write according to his own understanding. In that process, he wove into the commentaries, and his personal views and hoisted them on Sage   Sankara.

This kind of adulation gave rise to several versions of Advaita. The numerous glosses written by his followers tried to blend a ritualistic attitude with the monistic inclination of the Master. The result was the distortion of Sage Sankara’s position. The purpose of the scriptures, Sage Sankara said, was to describe reality as it is. Sage Sankara rejected the Mimamsa view and argued that scripture was not mandatory in character, at least where it concerned the pursuit of wisdom.

Upanishads, he remarked, dealt with Brahman (God in truth) and that Brahman (God in truth) could not be a subject matter of injunction and prohibitions.

Sage Sankara strongly advocated the study of Upanishads and at the same time cautioned that the study of Upanishads alone would not lead to liberation. In matters such as spiritual attainment, one’s own experience was the sole authority and it cannot be disputed.

Sage Sankara also said the study of Upanishad was neither indispensable nor a necessary prerequisite for attaining the human goal, the moksha.

Sage Sankara pointed out; that even those who were outside the Upanishad fold were as eligible for moksha as those within the fold were.

Sage  Sankara declared that all beings are Brahman, and therefore the question of discrimination did not arise. All that one was required to do was to get rid of ignorance (Duality). :~ Santthosh Kumaar

The universe appears as a waking or dream (duality) and disappears as the Soul in deep sleep (nonduality).+

Ignorance is the cause of the dualistic illusion. The dualistic illusion appears as ‘I’. The ‘I’ is present in the form of the mind.

The mind is present in the form of the universe. The universe appears as a waking or dream (duality) and disappears as the Soul in deep sleep (nonduality)

Ignorance of the ‘Self’ hidden by the dualistic illusion prevents one from realizing the ‘Self’.

The individual experience of birth, life, death, and the world is a reality within the waking experience but the waking experience itself is a dualistic illusion.

The individual experience of birth, life, death, and the world is nothing to do with the Soul, the Self. From the Standpoint of the Soul, the Self, The individual experience of birth, life, death, and the world is merely an illusion.

When the whole experience of birth, life, death, and the world is negated then what is left is the Soul, the Self.

When the Soul wakes up from its sleep of ignorance and remains in its own awareness then the reality of the individual experience of birth, life, death, and the world becomes unreal. In the same way, the dream becomes unreal when the waking takes place.

Find out to realize: ~

What is it that becomes waking

What is it that becomes the dream

What is it that remains without waking and dream in deep sleep?

Remember:~

It is the Soul, the Self that becomes the waking (duality)

It is the Soul, that becomes the dream (duality)

It is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness that remains without waking or dream, in deep sleep(nonduality).: ~ Santthosh Kumaar

Psychologists think that the deep sleep state is unconsciousness and they have absolutely no idea that unconsciousness is the non-dual nature of the Soul, the Self.+

Psychologists think that the deep sleep state is unconsciousness and they have absolutely no idea that unconsciousness is the non-dual nature of the Soul, the Self.
Many thinkers have not yet risen to the level of understanding "objectless consciousness." Only deep sleep can help them here. However, they are groping their way to it with notions of "the unconsciousness", the “subconscious” etc.
How do we know that there is a mind? That which makes you think or aware of anything-— the universe is what we become aware of. We use the word 'mind' when we are aware of the universe.
There is no agreement among psychologists about the nature of the mind. They have different theories about it. Hence it is only ordinary or superficial persons who have the conceit to say that they know what the mind is. But what mind is in itself, none can tell us without contradiction. Only when they can get an idea of the Seer -and Seen can they get out of their troubles and begin to understand the mind.:
Remember:~
The Soul appears as the universe in waking and the universe disappears as the Soul, the Self in deep sleep. The Soul is the universe and the universe is the Soul.
The universe is merely an illusion created out of the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.
The illusion and the reality are nothing but consciousness. Thus, consciousness alone is real and eternal.
Sage Sankara: ~VC~ if the universe is true, let it then be perceived in the state of deep sleep also. As it is not at all perceived, it must be unreal and false like dreams.
While deep sleep is a state of complete unconsciousness. The true state is the state of full and complete consciousness.
Deep sleep is still a state of ignorance. A true state of consciousness is a state of self-awareness. In a very real and true sense, the true state of consciousness is the state of “deep awake”. The self is fully asleep to the world of perceptions and fully awake in its true nature, which is non-dual consciousness.
The true nature of consciousness cannot be understood without Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. But it is not impossible to understand it.
People who speak about the true nature of the self without being aware that the self is not physical can only speculate about its nature. Because such people are confused about the nature of the self, their statements create confusion for others.
The three states can continue to exist and function after acquiring Self-knowledge. But for Gnani all the three states are unrelated because he has become one with the witnessing consciousness.
After Self-Realization, the duality is seen as existing but not separate from the Self. The 'Self' knows itself even though the duality still exists.
The duality exists as a condition that arises from the Self and then is absorbed back into it. It is due to the presence of the duality, (until it disappears by death), that Knowledge of the Self can be passed on by the Realized beings to others who seek such knowledge.:~Santthosh Kumaar

Self-realization is the direct realization of the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth.+

Sage Sankara says: ~ VC-162- There is no liberation for a person of mere book knowledge, howsoever well-read in the philosophy of Vedanta, so long as one does not give up the false identification with the body, sense organs, etc., which are unreal.

People dwelling in ignorance but thinking themselves wise and erudite, go round and round by various blind beliefs and tortuous paths and practices, like the blind led by the blind.

Swami Vivekananda said:~ "The Vedas teach that the Soul is divine, only held in the bondage of matter; perfection will be reached when this bond will burst, and the word they use for it is, therefore, Mukthi - freedom, freedom from the bonds of imperfection, freedom from death and misery."

The truth is very simple, but it is very difficult to grasp because of ignorance. You have to only realize the world in which you exist is created out of a single clay. And that single clay is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

Thus, you and your body and the world in which you exist are nothing but consciousness because they are merely an illusion created out of consciousness. A perfect understanding of ‘what is what’ is needed.

A Gnani can point at the sky, but the seeing of the star is the seeker’s own work.

It is necessary to reflect on the same truth again and again till it becomes a reality. One needs to constantly reflect on the subject until he gets a firm conviction of what is what. Words are needed until one gets a firm conviction of ‘what is what’. People need to read and hear the words of wisdom to think reason, reflect deeply, and reach the ultimate end.

It takes time for the seeker to gain the perfect understanding of ‘what is truth’ and ‘’what is untruth’.

It takes time for the Soul, the Self to wake up from the sleep of ignorance, and it takes time for one to realize the truth, which is beyond the form, time, and space.

The Bible, Vedas, and Upanishad confirm the Soul, the Self, is present in the form of the Spirit and is God in truth.

Kabir views humanity as being caught up in the illusion, searching for Ultimate Reality in all the wrong places, always seeking It outside of ourselves in various rituals, temples, forests, and mountaintops, not realizing That which we seek is already hidden within us.

The nature of the Atman (Soul or Spirit) is:~

v Witness

v conscious

v Without form and properties

v eternal

v pure

v omniscient

v unattached

The Soul is present in the form of consciousness. Consciousness is the ultimate truth or Brahman. To realize the ultimate truth is the prime goal.

Soulcentric reasoning will lead one to his inner destination. All the scriptures indicate that Atman is Brahman and Brahman is the ultimate truth or God in truth.

Self-Realization is the direct realization of the ultimate truth. The ultimate truth is Brahman or God in truth.

The Atmic path is the direct path to Self-realization in contrast with traditional paths, which are indirect. the other paths cannot lead to the ultimate destination because they are based on the false self (ego), which they hold as real ‘Self’ and false experience (waking) as a reality.

Until and unless one overcomes physical shackles it is impossible to understand and assimilate the Advaitic truth, which is beyond the physical existence (universe). Consciousness itself is the lord of itself though not of the universe. And having nothing it has all. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

The path of love and humanism is not the Atmic path because love and humanism are based on the matter not on the Soul, the Spirit.+

The path of love and humanism is the religious path. The path of love and humanism is not the Atmic path. The path of love and humanism are very valuable in practical life in the dualistic world.
The path of love and humanism is not the Atmic path because love and humanism are based on the matter not on the Soul, the Spirit.
Whatever is based on the matter is an illusion and whatever is based on the Spirit is a reality.
The Atma is God one without the second. In reality, there is no second thing that exists other than Atma, which is God in truth.
First, Mundaka - Chapter 2 (10):~ Ignorant fools, regarding sacrifices and humanitarian works as the highest, do not know any higher good. Having enjoyed their reward on the heights of heaven, gained by good works, they enter again this world or a lower one.
Brihadaranyaka Upanishad: ~ In this state a father is no father, a mother no mother, Gods no Gods, no Vedas. In this state, a thief is no thief, the killer of a noble Brahmana no killer, a monk no monk, a hermit no hermit. This form of his is untouched by good work and untouched by evil work, for he is then beyond all the woes of his intellect. ~(4.3.22)
Many Gurus instead of encouraging seekers to seek the truth, inject their own theories that keep them in hallucinating of talking love and compassion, which belongs to the dualistic illusion. It is the escape mechanism and makes the seeker hopeless, helpless, and lazy to seek the truth he is seeking.
A Gnani uses love and compassion for the practical purpose but he is fully aware they are not of any use to realize the truth hidden by the dualistic illusion (universe).
Love and compassion are needed in practical life within the practical world. However, from the ultimate standpoint, the practical life within the practical world is merely an illusion. In Atmic reality, there is only the Soul, the one without the Second. :~Santthosh Kumaar

Your inherited beliefs have made you a non-thinker, therefore, you are not bothered to think beyond your inherited relgion.+

You have the inborn conviction that you are an individual separate from the world in which you exist and the world in which you exist, existed prior to your birth, and you are born in it afterward.

Until this conviction is there, it is impossible for you to realize the truth, which is beyond form, time, and space.

Thus, you have to realize the ‘Self’ is not you because you are the birth entity whereas the Soul, the Self is birthless and deathless because it is a formless, timeless, and spaceless existence.

You are carrying loads of accumulated knowledge collected from a different source. The seeker must realize that whatever knowledge he has accumulated within the domain of form, time, and space is based on a dualistic perspective and is invalid because the truth is beyond form, time, and space.

You have to realize the truth about your own existence is part of the dualistic illusion.

Your inherited beliefs have made you a non-thinker, therefore, you are not bothered to think beyond your inherited belief system

Orthodox people say: ~ “I am the son of a Brahmana belonging to such and such a lineage; I was a householder, and am now a wandering sanyasi trying to get freedom from the cycle of birth and death.

But how can get freedom from the cycle of birth and death as the world, in which birth and death take place is merely an illusion?

It is impossible to realize the truth without realizing the fact that, you are not the ‘Self’. You are born and you are going to die in this illusory world whereas the ‘Soul’, the Self is birthless and deathless because it is the ever-formless, timeless, and spaceless existence.

Without realizing the world in which they exist is the product of ignorance and because of ignorance, the world in which they exist is experienced as a reality. Without getting rid of the ignorance the experience of birth, life, death, and the world will prevail as a reality.

Thus, Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana is necessary to get rid of ignorance. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar
