First, know you are the ego. Without the ego, the world in which you exist ceases to exist.+

There is no need to surrender the ego, to God without knowing what God is supposed to be in actuality.

First, know you are the ego. The ego is the false self within the illusory world. Without the ego, the world in which you exist ceases to exist. The ego is the basis of the world in which you exist. The ego, you, and the world appear together and disappear together.

Remember:~

It is foolish to say by getting rid of the ego wisdom dawns. It is impossible to get rid of the ego. You are the ego. The ego, body, and the world appear together and disappear together. It is impossible to get rid of the ego alone.
The ego, body, and the world together are the’ I’.
Without the ‘I’, the ego, body, and the world cease to exist.
Surrender is a religious and yogic fable. Religious people think casting the burden on the religious God is based on blind belief and going free, which is surrender.
How can the ego surrender to the religious God, which is not God in actuality? All such claims are possible only in the domain of form, time, and space.

In reality, no second thing exists other than the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. When there is no second thing, then surrender to what.
The ego is the basis of the world in which you exist. The ego alone cannot be discarded. The ego is present along with the body and the world. The ego, body, and the world appear together and disappear together. The ego, body, and the world in which you exist are the dualistic illusion.
The ego, body, and the world in which you exist are the product of ignorance. Only when ignorance vanishes then the ego, body and the world fade away as one essence.
Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana is necessary to realize the knowledge of the single stuff. The knowledge of the single stuff frees the Soul, the Self from the cage of ignorance.
If you are seeking the truth then do not mix up religion and yogic fables drop all accumulated garbage to realize the truth, which is beyond form, time, and space. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

Mythology was introduced in the past to the ignorant masses. It has to be discarded as one progresses in his spiritual advancement.+

Mythological stories are a myth. Whatever is based on myth is merely a superstition. Mythology was introduced in the past to the ignorant masses. It has to be discarded as one progresses in his spiritual advancement.

Mythology breeds superstition, blind belief, senseless rituals, and the most irrational and gives them a divine outlook.

Religious Gods are based on blind faith and are not the God in truth. One must know what God is supposed to be in truth.

Lord Krishna says Ch. V:~ “Those who know the 'Self' in truth.". The last two words (tattvataha) are usually ignored by pundits, but they make all the difference between the ordinary concept of God and the truth about God.

Lord Krishna Says Ch.V:~ “Those who know the Self in truth." The last two words (tattvataha) are usually ignored by pundits, but they make all the difference between the ordinary concept of God and the truth about God.

Remember:~

Bhagavad Gita: ~ Brahmano hi pratisthaham ~ Brahman (God in truth) is considered the all-pervading consciousness, which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material. (14.27).

When Bhagavad Gita says, God is considered the all-pervading consciousness which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material then nothing has to be accepted as God other than consciousness.

Bhagavad Gita: - All those whose intelligence has been stolen by material desires worship many Gods. (7- Verse -20)

Remember:~

Religious Gods are not God in truth. One must realize what God is supposed to be in truth.
The dualistic worship of "God” is only for the ignorant populace. The God in truth is only Atman, the innermost ‘Self’. In reality, there is no duality, no differentiation. Only Atman exists.

Vedas and Upanishads confirm the Soul, the Self, is present in the form of the Spirit or consciousness.

Rig Veda: ~ 'Prajnanam Brahma'- Consciousness is the ultimate reality or Brahman or God in truth.

Do not accept any other God other than the Soul. The Soul is God in truth, Nothing is real but the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. Nothing matters but realizing God in truth.

God in truth is everywhere and in everything. Let these words be inscribed in your subconscious.

God in truth is hidden by the illusory universe. God in truth alone is real and eternal and all else is an illusion.

Brahman is merely a word to indicate the ultimate truth or God in truth. The ultimate truth itself is God in truth.

Rig Veda: ~ The Atman (Soul or Spirit) is the cause; Atman is the support of all that exists in this universe. May ye never turn away from the Atman, the Self. May ye never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman?" (10:48, 5)

The Spirit is the root element of the universe. The Spirit is present in the form of the Soul, the Self. The Soul is present in the form of consciousness.

From the Spirit, the universe comes into existence. In the Spirit, the universe resides. And into the Spirit, the universe is dissolved. The Spirit is the parent of all that is there. :~Santthosh Kumaar

Find out what is this ‘I’, which appears and disappears instead of inquiring ‘Who am ‘I’.+

Find out what is this ‘I’, which appears and disappears instead of inquiring ‘Who am ‘I’, to realize that the ‘I’ itself is an illusion.
Bhagavad Gita: ~ The permanent is always there, only the transient ‘I’ comes and goes. (2.18)
If you use the word ‘I’ for the Soul you will never be able to realize the truth, which is beyond the ‘I’. Beyond the ‘I’ means beyond the form, time, and space.
That is why Ashtavakra Gita 16:10:~ If you desire liberation, but you still say 'I', if you feel the ‘Self’ is the ‘I’, you are not a wise man or a seeker. You are simply a man who suffers.
Embark on the journey of truth it frees the Soul from the illusion of form, time, and space.
When you finally realize the ‘Self ‘is not you but the ‘Self’ is the Soul then you will realize the world in which you exist is merely an illusion created out of the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.
Thus, you, your experience of birth, life, death, and the world are merely an illusion created out of consciousness, consciousness is the ultimate truth or Brahman or Godin truth.
The dream figures and dream world are nothing but an illusion created out of consciousness not different from it; similarly, when one knows that everything is consciousness, there is no need for yogic control of the mind.
Manduka Upanishads Control presupposes second, a duality. Hence yoga is in the sphere of duality and is unnecessary to one who knows non-duality. (Manduka P.153).
The Upanishad says: - Atman, the Self is known by Reason alone, by the sharpened and purified intellect. Yet still, people worship Yoga and mysticism as the sole means of attaining Atman.
The seeker of the truth has to be active to examine the world and discriminate. Hence, non-dualistic Self-awareness means knowing that the form, time, and space are one, in essence. That essence is consciousness. The three states and the formless witness of the three states are one in essence.
The three states and their formless witness is the Atman, which is present in the form of consciousness. The Atman is the innermost Self. Realizing the Atman as Self is Self-realization.

The non-dualistic Self-awareness arises in the midst of the duality. This is different from Patanjali Yogic Nirvikalpa Samadhi, which is only deep sleep. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

The ups and downs of the practical life within the practical world have nothing to do with the Soul, the Self. +

It is erroneous to mix experiences of practical life and the practical world in the Atmic path.

The ups and downs of the practical life within the practical world have nothing to do with the Soul, the Self.

In Self-awareness, nothing disappears on the dawn of wisdom, but the unreal nature of the waking is exposed in the midst of the duality.

In Self-awareness, one sees his body as consciousness, his ego as consciousness, and the world as consciousness. Thus, there is a unity in diversity in his understanding.

In Self-awareness, the unknown restlessness disappears. Self-awareness brings stillness of the mind in the midst of action or duality.
Thus, searching for the truth within an illusion with the illusory Self, within the illusory world is bound to be an illusion.

The illusion is created and sustained and finally dissolves as the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. Since there is no second thing other than the Soul or consciousness; consciousness itself is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth. :~ Santthosh Kumaar

What is the Self?

What is the Self?

If something is true, is real, is constant, is a foundation of a nature that is unchanging, this can be called the Self.

The invisible and unborn  Soul, the Self, is the fullness of consciousness without the illusory division of form, time, and space. The invisible Soul is formless, timeless spaceless, and eternal existence.

People have not penetrated the meaning of the ‘Self’. The meaning is that the ultimate truth is the Self, which is eternal existence.

You are impermanent because the ‘Self’ is not you but the ‘Self is the unborn  Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

People have not penetrated the meaning of the ‘Self’. The meaning is that the ultimate truth is the Self, which is eternal existence.

You should not hold anything of the dualistic illusion (universe), which is impermanence.

The world in which you exist makes you feel as though they are real but ultimately they are merely an illusion created out of the Soul, which is permanent.

You must cultivate to see the permanence (Soul) hidden by the impermanence (universe) as it is.

If you do this, you will be like one who sees a gem in the muddied water among the stones and rocks and waits for the water to settle before he skilfully plucks it out.

It is the same with cultivating the idea of the Soul, the Self hidden by the dualistic illusion (universe).

WHAT IS ‘I’?

The ‘I’ disappears as deep sleep, so what is the use of being attached to it? It is impermanent and illusory.

There is really no ‘I’. The ‘I’ is present in the form of the mind. And the mind is in the form of the universe. And the universe appears as a waking or dream.

The ‘I’ or mind or universe or waking or dream disappears as deep sleep.  Thus, one that appears as ‘I’ or the mind or the universe or the waking or dream is consciousness and it disappears as deep sleep is also consciousness.  In deep sleep, the Soul is in its formless nondual true nature.

The one, that witnesses the coming and going of the three states, is also consciousness.   Thus, the witness and the witnessed are one in essence.

Thus, the universe is a reality on the base of individuality and the universe is unreal on the base of consciousness (Soul), which is the Self.

The seeker gradually will grasp and realize the unreal nature of the universe or mind. Individuality is illusory because the self is not an individual because the ‘Self’ is formless and it pervades everything and everywhere in all the three states. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

Sage Ramana Maharishi's teaching is yogic. Yoga is dualistic.+

Sage Ramana Maharshi: ~ "The location of the Heart is of the chest and not on the left. The light of consciousness flows from the heart through the Sushumna channel to ‘Sahasrarara’.(KNOW YOUR SELF page 31)~

From ‘Sahasrarara’ consciousness spreads all over the body, then the experience of the world arises. Viewing themselves as different from that consciousness human beings get caught up in the cycle of birth and death.

The ‘Sahasrarara’ of one who abides in the Self is pure light only. Any thoughts that approach it cannot survive.

Even when objects are perceived, because of their nearness, it does not destroy yoga as the mind sees no differences.

The state in which awareness is firm,  even when objects are sensed, is called the natural state.  In Nivikalpa Samadhi, there is no objective perception.

The entire universe is in the body and the whole body is in the Heart. Hence, the universe is contained within the Heart.

Sage Ramana Maharishi: ~ He placed his right hand on his right breast and continued, "Here lies the Heart, the dynamic, spiritual Heart. It is called Hridaya and is located on the right side of the chest and is clearly visible to the inner eye of an adept on the spiritual path. Through meditation, you can learn to find the Self in the cave of this Heart." Mercedes de Acosta, Here Lies the Heart

Santthosh Kumaar: ~ When the Self is not the body,  but the Self is the formless Soul,  then the question of  Sahasrara’ and  'Sushumna’ does not arise,  because Sahasrara’ and  ‘Sushumna' are within the body.

Sage Ramana Maharishi's teaching is yogic. Yoga is dualistic.

Dattatreya's Song of the Avadhut 1.36-42: ~ Non-duality is taught by some; some others teach duality. They don't understand that the all-pervading Reality is beyond both duality and non-duality.

The spiritual heart is the Soul, the Self, not the physical heart. The world in which you exist is within the Soul, the spiritual heart.

Mistaking the spiritual heart within the body is a great error. Even some Advaitic guru says that the Self is within the spiritual heart. And the spiritual heart is on the left side.  Such a declaration is merely an imagination, based on the false self. When the Self is bodiless, then the question of the heart being left side or right side does not arise.

Brihadaranyaka Upanishad:~  The Self is indeed Brahman, but through ignorance, people identify it with intellect, mind, senses, passions, and the elements of earth, water, air, space, and fire. This is why the Self is said to consist of this and that and appears to be everything.

The Self is not ‘I’ but the Self is the formless Soul. The Soul is present in the form of consciousness. Consciousness is invisible the substance and witness of the ‘I’. When one realizes the Soul is the Self then he is freed from experiencing the dualistic illusion or Maya as reality.:~Santthosh Kumaar

Sage Sankara’s Advaitic wisdom deals with removing ignorance, which blocks the realization of the truth.+

Sage Sankara’s path of wisdom is the independent search for truth. Advaitic wisdom of Sage Sankara is pure Spirituality or Adyathma is not a philosophic sect.

Sage Sankara’s path of wisdom is the independent search for truth.

Sage Sankara’s Advaitic wisdom deals with removing ignorance, which blocks the realization of the truth.

Sage Sankara’s Advaitic wisdom deals with the practical bearing of philosophy to remove the initial prejudice that it is remote from life.

Some scriptures have presented fragments of truth imbedded in the covering of stories, histories, and picturesque touches of mysticism.

The seeker should not mix religion, mysticism, and yoga with the path of wisdom.

All the Gurus of the East and West touch of mysticism to make it more attractive to feed the crowd.

It is necessary to reach larger numbers of serious seekers who care for truth alone.

Philosophy has to deal with the ultimate truth, not mere words, not this Guru’s’ or that Guru's interpretation.

The key to it is, for the A Gnani to be "ever the same." This means he sees and knows only one thing, the Soul, the Self, which is present in the form of Consciousness

All the interpretation of different scriptural scholars is an arena of conflicting interpretations.

All the gurus of the East and West interpret Advaita from a dualistic standpoint or orthodox point of view and they are still dealing with words, not truth. It proves that they have not understood the Advaitic wisdom of Sage Sankara.

Gnani inwardly atoned in perfect understanding of the ultimate truth of Brahman or God in truth.

Criticism can only arise, disagreement can only happen, and contradictory interpretations can only occur when men have failed to grasp Sage Sankara’s Advaitic wisdom.

It all depends on the seeker's capacity to grasp the Advaitic wisdom of Sage Sankara, which is above words and above "interpretation."

Remember that only a few of those who have understood Sage Sankara’s Advaitic wisdom for them contradictory interpretations will never arise.

There will be no two among them, only one. The only test of the correctness of any interpretation of Sage Sankara is whether it tends towards non-duality or not, whether its author has grasped non-duality or not. :~Santthosh Kumaar
