The Self is not Selfless because the Self is existence itself. There is a need to realize what the self is in actuality.+

The Self is not Selfless because the Self is existence itself. There is a need to realize what the self is in actuality. It is foolish to speculate and say the ‘Self’ is this and that is not Advaitic wisdom.

Sage Sankara says:~ VC-65- As a treasure hidden underground requires (for its extraction) competent instruction, excavation, the removal of stones and other such things lying above it and (finally) grasping, but never comes out by being (merely) called out by name, so the transparent Truth of the Self, which is hidden by Maya and its effects, is to be attained through the instructions of a knower of Brahman, followed by reflection, meditation and so forth, but not through perverted arguments.

Your urge is at the seed level. As you go on reading the words of wisdom it will start growing. It takes time for the egocentric subconscious to accept the Soulcentric truth.

The seeker has to discard all 'I-centric' and 'you-centric’ Gurus and their teaching to realize the 'Self', which is hidden by ignorance.

Advaitic Truth is very simple but it is very difficult to grasp because of ignorance. There is no need to search for the truth because, the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness, is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth.

Only when the conviction of the Soul becomes firm then only you will be able to accept the world in which you exist is nothing but consciousness.

You have to only realize the world in which you exist is created out of a single clay. And that single clay is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

Thus. you and your body and the world in which you exist are nothing but consciousness. They cease to exist without consciousness. You have to think and reason deeply

Thus, you and your body and the world in which you exist are nothing but consciousness because they are merely an illusion created out of consciousness.

A perfect understanding of ‘what is what’ is needed. Perfect understanding and assimilation of ‘what is what,’ leads to a perfect conviction of ‘What is truth?” and ‘What is the untruth? Perfect conviction of the truth leads to Advaitic Self-awareness.

A Gnani can point at the sky, but the seeing of the star is the seeker's own work.

It is necessary to reflect on the same truth again and again till it becomes reality. One needs to constantly reflect on the subject until he gets a firm conviction of what is what. Words of wisdom are needed until one gets a firm conviction of ‘what is what’.

People need to read and hear the words, think reason, and reflect deeply and reach the ultimate end.

Although the Path is very difficult and the Goal seems so unreachable, Don't worry, because there is no path other than the Atmic path to help you reach the ultimate end.

The Atmic path with its emphasis on the Advaitic wisdom is meant for those who wish to go beyond form, time, and space.

Only through deeper self-search do beginners and intermediates gradually become aware of ‘what is what’.

Only after they have realized the fact that the ‘Self’ is not ‘I’ but the ‘Self’ is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness, they are ready for the inner journey towards reality, which is beyond form, time, and space.

Upanishad: ~ “They alone in this world are endowed with the highest wisdom who are firm in their conviction of the sameness and birthlessness of Atman. The ordinary man does not understand their way. (Chapter IV — Alatasanti Prakarana 95-P-188 in Upanishads by Nikilanada)

If you are seeking truth you have to know the ‘Self’ is not you but the ‘Self’ is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

Sage Sankara says the world is an illusion; it includes birth, life, and death, which happens within the world. Thus, the seeker's main aim is to mentally trace the formless substance of the illusion, which is also the witness of the illusion.

Sage Sankara, in Bhaja Govindam, says: ~ (Jnana Viheena Sarva Mathena Bajathi na Muktim janma Shatena) - One without knowledge does not obtain liberation even in a hundred births, no matter which religious faith he follows.

Thus, it proves that religion is not the means to Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. Because Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana is universal knowledge meant for humanity. Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana does not belong to any religion.

A Gnani is not concerned about the listener, he does not care whether his listener will understand or not. Only a Gnani can such a pure expression of the truth.: ~ Santthosh Kumaar

So-called spiritual paths are useless unless they cause us to seek the truth of our true existence.+

So-called spiritual paths are useless unless they cause us to seek the truth of our true existence. All controversies about creation, the nature of the universe, evolution, the purpose of God, etc., are useless in the Atmic path.

To understand the false nature of the ‘I’, Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana is necessary.

It is for the seeker to go on his own and remove all the obstacles, which is blocking the realization of the truth, which is beyond the form, time, and space.

The greatest hindrance is mixing religion, God, scriptures, and yogic theories. Moreover, attachment to scriptures, personal God, and religious code of conduct keep one permanently in the grip of the dualistic illusion or Maya.

Embark on the journey of the truth; it frees the Soul from the illusion of form, time, and space.

When you finally realize the ‘Self ‘ is not you, but the ‘Self’ is the Soul then you will realize the world in which you exist is merely an illusion created out of the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

Self-inquiry is to realize the ‘Self’ is not ‘I’ but the ‘self is the ‘I-LESS Soul’, which is present in the form of consciousness.

Remember: ~

You are not the ‘Self.

You are bound by the form, time, and space.

You are bound by the experience of birth, life, death, and the world.

You are never free because the world in which you exist is the product of ignorance.

It is not you who is in ignorance, but it is the Soul, which is in ignorance of its own true nature. When the Soul wakes up from its sleep of ignorance and remains in its own awareness the world in which you exist becomes one with Soul-awareness.

When ignorance vanishes through wisdom then the world in which you exist never again prevails as a reality.

The world in which you exist is created out of single clay. That single clay is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. The Soul is the innermost Self. The Soul is not ‘I’. The Soul is the witness of the ‘I’ which appears and disappears.

The Soul is the only permanent thing and the ‘I’ is merely an illusion. If you do not understand this truth you will never be able to cross the ‘I’, which is the dualistic illusion or Maya.

The seeker has to make sure what is this ‘I’ supposed to be? The seeker has to make sure of the unreal nature of the ‘I’ which comes and goes.

That is why Bhagavad Gita: ~ “The permanent is always there, only the transient ‘I’ comes and goes. (2.18)

The ‘I’ hides the Soul, the Self, which is the cause of the 'I'.

People think the ‘I’ without the body is the Self. The seeker has to understand the fact that ‘I’ is not the Self, but the witness of the ‘I’ is the true Self, which is eternal.

That is why Ashtavakra Gita 16:10:~ “If you desire liberation, but you still say 'I', if you feel the ‘Self’ is the ‘I’, you are not a wise man or a seeker. You are simply a man who suffers.

People are stuck with the reality of the ‘I’, which they take as real because some Gurus have propagated that the Self is the ‘I’. is no need to convince such a mindset. The seeker of truth accepts only the truth nothing but the truth.

Advaita is the true nature of existence. The ‘I’ hides the Advaitic reality. Realize the ‘I’ is merely an illusion created out of consciousness, which is Advaita. Consciousness is Advaita because it is second to none.

The world in which you exist is the dvaita (duality) is merely an illusion created out of consciousness, which is Advaita. The Advaita (non-duality) is real and eternal the Dvaita (duality) is an illusion.

Holding the ‘Self’ as ‘I’ is the cause of ignorance. Realize the ‘I’ is merely an illusion. Stop identifying the Self as ‘I’ or ‘I AM’. Till you identify the Self as ‘I’ or ‘I AM’ the Soul will remain in the cage of ignorance. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

Invisible electricity is the cause of television functions. Similarly, invisible consciousness is the cause of the illusory universe in which we exist.+

Invisible electricity is the cause of television functions. Similarly, invisible consciousness is the cause of the illusory universe in which we exist.

Without consciousness, the illusory universe in which we exist, consciousness remains in its nondual true nature,
The nondual truth nature of consciousness is Advaita.
Advaita is the ultimate reality or Brahman or God in truth.
Remember:~
Rig Veda: ~ 'Prajnanam Brahma'- Consciousness is the ultimate reality or Brahman or God in truth.
Do not accept any other God other than the Soul. The Soul is God in truth. Nothing is real but the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.
Nothing matters but realizing God in truth. God in truth, is everywhere and in everything. Let these words be inscribed in your subconscious.
God in truth, is hidden by the illusory universe. God in truth alone, is real and eternal, and all else is an illusion.
Brahman is merely a word to indicate the ultimate truth or God in truth. The ultimate truth itself is God in truth.
People are not aware of the fact that there is no individual God exists, apart from the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. :~Santthosh Kumaar

Mastering of various scriptures and by accumulating knowledge you cannot establish in the ‘Self’ unless you forget all.+

Mastering various scriptures and accumulated knowledge you cannot establish in the ‘Self’ unless you forget all.

There is no need to read book after book. You need to realize only the world in which you exist is created out of single stuff. That single stuff is consciousness.

Knowledge of that single stuff is Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana or Advaitic wisdom.

Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana is Advaitic Gnana.

No books can do more than help us to find it, and even without them, we can get all the truth if we search for the truth that is hidden by the world in which we exist. You have a love for books without bondage to them, and read the books, but do not believe blindly because it is well written with the ornamental world, but think for yourself. No blind belief can save you, work out on your own to find the truth, which is hidden by form, time, and space. Think the Soul is your inner Guru - that Soul is an eternal help.

There is no need to read books to realize the truth which is beyond form, time, and space.

Sage Sankara does not believe in books. Sage Sankara denies the authority of any book over any other book. He denies emphatically any one book contains all the truths about Brahman or God or Soul, or the ultimate reality.

It is impossible to realize the Self through bookish knowledge. A feeling of profound respect for the physical Guru is still more difficult to uphold. If you are seeking truth know must not cling to any physical Guru or his teaching.

Tripura Rahasya: ~ Second-hand knowledge of the Self-gathered from books or Gurus can never emancipate a man until its truth is rightly investigated and applied; only direct realization will do that. Realize yourself, turning the mind inward. (18: 89)

You should not make any man or woman as an object of worship. If you have accepted the Atmic path then there is no need for books, no need for a physical Guru, no need to worship a religious God no need for any rituals. There is nothing that is needed other than realizing the ‘Self is not you but the ‘Self’ is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

Sage Sankara says in Viveka Chudamani:- VC- 56. Neither by Yoga, nor by Sankhya, nor by work, nor by learning, but by the realization of one's identity with Brahman is Liberation possible, and by no other means.

The seeker must first know the Soul is the only reality and that the world in which he exists is an illusion.

The seeker must reason upon this truth from all points of view and up all further argumentation and realize the truth. This realization comes from being certain that the Soul is the ultimate truth or Brahman or is real and the world in which he exists is merely an illusion created out of consciousness.

Brihadaranyaka Upanishad: ~ “It is actually said that for one who knows Brahman, the ultimate Reality, the Veda has no meaning: Veda becomes no-Veda'.

The Upanishad itself says: ~ “vacho viglapanam hi tat” ~ 'Words are only so much of a distraction for such minds'.

Katha Upanishad: ~ This Atman cannot be attained by the study of the Vedas, or by intelligence, or by much hearing of sacred books. It is attained by him alone whom It chooses. To such a one Atman reveals Its own form. (Katha Upanishad Ch-II -23-P-20)

Sage Sankara: ~ “Like a servant who carries a lamp in front of you to find your way, and you have found it, so becomes the Veda to that person. What is the Veda? -- utterances of those who have known the Truth. Here is one who has known the Truth; why should he or she depend upon the Veda further? The actual experience takes you beyond books. At a certain stage, books become a botheration.”

Sage Sankara: ~ “VC 58. Loud speech consisting of a shower of words, the skill in expounding the Scriptures, and likewise erudition - these merely bring on a little personal enjoyment to the scholar but are no good for Liberation.

VC 59. “ The study of the Scriptures is useless so long as the highest Truth is unknown, and it is equally useless when the highest Truth has already been known.

VC 60. “The Scriptures consisting of many words are a dense forest which merely causes the mind to ramble. Hence, men of wisdom should earnestly set about knowing the true nature of the Self.

All the books written on Advaita by Eastern and Western authors are based on the dualistic perspective and orthodox point of view. Thus, they do not have a Soulcentric vision of the truth.

Advaita is the nature of the Soul. There are so many books from many authors, but none will help the seeker to reach the ultimate understanding.

The Advaitic Wisdom is not found in scriptures or books. There are only hidden parables here and there. There is no clear-cut wisdom whatsoever in the scriptures or philosophy. Mere words ~ are just a collection of words.

Advaitic truth is hidden within the world in which we exist. The truth is not found in the world because the world is merely an illusion created out of consciousness. The Truth is hidden within the form, time, and space, but it is beyond the form, time, and space.

Sages of truth restrained themselves from parting the Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana to the masses and only a selected few. It was hidden from the people who were not qualified and receptive to it. Self- it was given knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana was not written down but was imparted orally to the chosen few.

Thus, religion was given to the masses, and knowledge of the spirit was given to only selected a few. Thus, we find traces of the knowledge of the spirit in the religious books in the form of parables.

Sage Sankara says: ~ there is no need to study the Scriptures, to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman

~ then why do you indulge in studying the scriptures.

Sage Sankara says: ~ there is no need to study philosophy, to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman

~then why do you indulge in studying philosophies.

Sage Sankara says the transparent truth of the Self, which is hidden by the illusion, is to be attained through the instructions of a knower of Brahman, (Gnani)

Sage Sankara says ~ “The exercise in discrimination between real and unreal and renunciation of the false is real meditation, then why you are indulging in other types of meditation. ~ Santthosh Kumaar

In Self-awareness, the Soul, the God remains in its own awareness.+

In Self-awareness, the Soul, God remains in its own awareness. The Soul, is in the fullness of consciousness, without the illusory division of the form, time, and space in the midst of the illusory form, time, and space.

Only in ignorance, there is the division of form, time, and space.

If there are form, time, and space then there is the mind.

If there is the mind then there is the universe.

If there is the universe then there is the waking.

If there is waking then there is an individual experience of birth, life, death, and the world.

If there is no ignorance the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness alone prevails as the ultimate reality. In deep sleep, the Soul remains in its own awareness. We come to know the deep sleep experience in the waking experience, which is the state of ignorance.

Getting rid of the ignorance in the waking state by realizing that form, time, and space are created out of a single clay and that single clay is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness leads to Advaitic Self-awareness.

I am highlighting all the obstacles in the inner journey and how to overcome these obstacles. All accumulated knowledge is of no use in the Atmic path.

It is for every seeker, who is treading the Atmic path to know “What is the truth?“and “What is untruth?” to assimilate the Self–Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.

My postings are only signposts. The seeker's needs reflect constantly on the subject until the cobwebs of his doubts and confusion get cleared. If you are seeking truth you should not stop seeking until you realize it.

It takes time for the seeker to gain the perfect understanding of ‘what is truth’ and ‘’what is untruth’. It takes time for the Soul, the Self to wake up from the sleep of ignorance, and it takes time for one realizes the truth, which is beyond form, time, and space. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

Sage Sankara knew that one day the world would throw up religion and scriptures and appeal to reason.+

The reason is the only tool to unfold the mystery of the universe (I), whereas the appeal to scriptural relations reaches only religious sects and castes. Sage Sankara knew that one day the world would throw up religion and scriptures and appeal to reason.

Let Advaitic wisdom annihilate ignorance and reveal the Soul, the Self hidden by the ‘I’.

Let your ears become deaf to religious propagated myth.

Let your eyes become blind to illusion to realize the Soul, the ‘Self’ as it is.

Yoga Vasistha:~ "Teachers, interpretations of sacred texts, the force of religious merit--none of these lead to the realization of that ultimate truth which is revealed in the clear reflection of the heart, engendered from contact with the good."

Anybody can write a commentary on the Upanishads and other great philosophic texts, all they need to do to pour out words. Some Westerners along with some orthodox pundits translated and published books. The influence of Sage Sankara’s wisdom has nothing to do with Advaitic Orthodox, which belongs to the religion

Authoritarianism merely assumes as true what another says, but what has yet to be proved.

For yogis, mystics or religious pundits interpret scriptures as they like, in whatever way that pleases them, they simply imagine away.

Spirituality does not begin with God. God has to be proved, not assumed. Hence, the so-called Gurus who take God for granted are not Gnanis.

Some philosophers in the past dissented from this interpretation of Advaita, holding that the Incarnated Souls were separate from the Divine Essence and only finally merged with it after the cycles of birth. All these theoretical philosophies are based on the imagination based on the false self (ego or you) within the false experience (waking).

It is quite easy to do this even for those who have never understood the Upanishads but think they have.

Thus, the dualists and their disciples have written commentaries on scriptures: But all these have been written to satisfy themselves, not to get the truth because all their interpretation is based on the dualistic perspective. The truth will be revealed only when one is able to reason from a non-dualistic perspective.

Likewise, thinkers and poets of the Age of Devotion (Bhakti) of the 16th century believed in a God with attributes that became very tangible when incarnating as God and was attainable simply through love and devotion rather than scholastic and intellectual meditation.

The seeker of truth should not be carried away by any Guru's wisdom or by the attitude of authority which they adopt in their sermons. It has no value because it is dualistic.

Remember:~

All these Gurus illustrate the ‘I know’ attitude adopted because they inherited the knowledge from their guru, both of them not knowing really because whatever knowledge they are propagating is dualistic knowledge, which belongs to religion and yoga.

Most people are certainly brilliant intellectually but it is egocentric intelligence that is useful in practical life within the practical world. The quest for truth needs Soulcentric reasoning.

The egocentric subconscious is like a watertight compartment that does not allow Soulcentric reasoning until it becomes receptive to Self-knowledge.

Till the Subconscious realizes the ‘Self is not ‘I’ but the Self is the Soul, the witness of the ‘I’, it will not be receptive to Self-knowledge because it is been conditioned to observe everything from a dualistic perspective.

The reason based on the dualistic perspective is useful in practical life within the practical world. The dualistic reason is of no use to unfold the mystery of the universe.

The reasoning is interpretable in two ways. The egocentric interpretation is to apply it only to the practical purpose (waking experience). The Soulcentric interpretation is to apply it to the three states. The latter leads to a final settlement of the problems because it takes all data into consideration.

Bhagavad Gita: ~ Reason as a means to reality. (Chap.18 verse 37)

In chap. 10 of in Bhagavad Gita, Krishna says: ~ I cannot save you, but I can give you Buddhi (reason). (chap. 10)

In chap. 10 of in Bhagavad Gita, Krishna says: ~ "I have given you the most secret teaching, now reflect over it all" Krishna plainly says reflect, think. (Verse 63 of Chap. 18)

Mundaka Upanishad says: ~ ‘Both states are harmful and take you away from the path of inquiry into truth. (Page 234)

Ashtavakra Gita: ~ It is not the absence of Buddhi (Reason) that can grasp Advaita but the man who possesses the highest intellect. Brains are necessary. Such a man, by merely hearing the truth mentioned will know it. (Page~ 224)

Brihad Up: To see Him whole mystics may have similar ideas of the "universe in a dew-drop," but Advaitic truth demands proof. (Page 78)

Upanishad says: ~ Atman the innermost Self is known by Reason alone, by the sharpened and purified intellect. Yet still, people worship Yoga and mysticism as the sole means of attaining Atman.

Remember:~

The universe in which you exist is an illusion and there is no substance in its reality."

Self-knowledge or Brahma knowledge is the end of all egocentric knowledge. Egocentric knowledge is dualistic knowledge, whereas Self-knowledge is Soulcentric knowledge.

Advaitic wisdom of Sage Sankara has nothing to do with orthodox Advaita, which is dualistic. Orthodox Advaita is a sect, which blindly accepts and follows dogmas and superstitions.

Sage Sankara says: ~ ‘What is accepted without a proper inquiry will not lead to the final Goal. (Commentary on Vedanta Sutra)

Nothing has to be accepted as truth without verification.

Sage Sankara himself had often said that his philosophy was based on Shruti, or revealed scripture. This may be because Sage Sankara addressed the ordinary man, who finds security in the idea of causality and thus, in the idea of God—and Revelation is indispensable to prove the latter. He believed that those of superior intelligence, have no need for this idea of divine causality, and can, therefore, dispense with Shruti and arrive at the truth of Non-Dualism by pure reason.

Sage Sankara is the only sage who has final authority on the Advaitic truth. The Advaitic truth is rational truth and scientific truth without dogma. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

If Advaita existed prior to Buddha, he would not have advocated sunyavada at all because Advaita is the final and ultimate truth.+

It is no use arguing Bhagavan Buddha is wrong or Sage Sankara is right, but where we are going wrong in our understanding of the non-dualistic or Advaitic truth, propagated by the great sages of the past. Some say, that without the sunyavada, Advaita philosophy could not have come into existence because Advaita starts from where sunyavada ends. That is why they say it is an extension of Buddhism.

If Advaita existed prior to Buddha, he would not have advocated sunyavada at all because Advaita is the final and ultimate truth.

Since the Buddhist and Vedic scriptures have been passed down by hearing, they were written down only relatively late, so one wouldn't know whether to rely on the times they give. Also, a lot depends on the translation. Each 'Sloka' or sutta is open to many layers of interpretation.
Sage Sankara said:~ Talk as much philosophy as you like, worship as many gods as you please, observe ceremonies, and sing devotional hymns, but liberation will never come, even after a hundred aeons, without realizing the Oneness.
Sage Sankara himself had often said that his philosophy was based on Sruti, or revealed scripture.
This may be because Sage Sankara addressed the ordinary man, who finds security in the idea of causality and thus in the idea of God—and Revelation is indispensable to prove the latter. He believed that those of superior intelligence, have no need for this idea of divine causality, and can, therefore, dispense with Sruti and arrive at the truth of Non-Dualism by pure reason.
Sage Sankara’s Supreme Brahman is Nirguna (without the Gunas), Nirakara (formless), Nirvisesha (without attributes), and Akarta (non-agent). He is above all needs and desires.
Sage Sankara says:~ "This Atman is self-evident. This Atman or Self is not established by proofs of the existence of the Self. It is not possible to deny this Atman, for it is the very essence of he who denies it. Atman is the basis of all kinds of knowledge. The Self is within, the Self is without, the Self is before and the Self is behind. The Self is on the right hand, the Self is on the left, the Self is above and the Self is below".
Satyam-Jnanam-Anantam-Anandam, are not separate attributes. They form the very essence of Brahman. Brahman cannot be described because the description implies a distinction. Brahman cannot be distinguished from any other than He.
The objective world-the world of names and forms has no independent existence. The Atman alone has a real existence. The world is only phenomenal. :~Santthosh Kumaar
