Consciousness is the real and eternal. God rest all is an illusion.+

Even the Vedas indicate that the Self is consciousness:-

v Tat tvam asi: -Thou art That “Self is that”-(Sam Veda).

v Prajnanam Brahma: - Consciousness is the ultimate reality (Rig Veda).

v Ayam Aatma Brahma: -The Self is the ultimate truth (Atharva Veda).

v Aham Brahma Asmi: -Self is the ultimate reality (Yajur Veda)

Your existence is limited to form, time, and space because the ‘Self is not you. The Self is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. The Soul is a formless, timeless, and spaceless existence.

First, realize the ‘Self’ is not you but the ‘Self’ is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. Mentally hold on to the Soul and mentally reduce the world in which you exist as consciousness by realizing the world in which you exist is nothing but an illusion created out of consciousness. Consciousness is the ultimate truth of Brahman or God in truth.

Consciousness is the real God rest all is an illusion.

Bhagavad Gita says: ~ “Brahmano hi pratisthaham" Brahman (God in truth) is considered the all-pervading consciousness which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material (Gita 14.27)

When Bhagavad Gita says, God is considered the all-pervading consciousness which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material then nothing has to be accepted as God other than consciousness.

Vedas, Upanishad, and Bhagavad Gita confirm the Soul, the Self, is present in the form of the Spirit or consciousness.

The real God is stolen by ignorance and people worship ignorance as God because the religion propagates false God as real God.

All the ‘I-centric’ Gurus and their teachings lose their value in Soulcentric vision.

Remember:~

When you realize the words, thoughts, and world in which you exist are created out of single stuff and that single stuff is consciousness, then you will realize the truth which is hidden by the illusory form, time, and space.

When everything is created out of consciousness then there is no second thing that exists, other than consciousness. It takes time to grasp the Advaitic truth. All the obstacles have to be overcome one by one.

Realize with full and firm conviction that: ~

You are not you but consciousness; your body is not the body but consciousness, the world in which you exist is not the world but consciousness.

Everything that is known, seen, believed, and experienced by you is nothing but consciousness then what else remains, which is not consciousness. There is nothing else to realize other than to realize consciousness alone is, everything else is merely an illusion created out of consciousness.

By realizing everything is consciousness, the Advaitic wisdom dawns. Perfect understanding and assimilation of ‘what is what’ lead to Advaitic awareness.

Without the world, in which you exist God alone exists. When God disappears the world, in which you exist appears. The world, in which you exist disappears God appears. Thus, realize the God to be the Soul.

The Soul is the Self. Thus, the Soul which is present in the form of consciousness is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth.

If you stick to the ultimate truth then you will realze the world in which you exist is merely an illusion created out of consciousness. If you realize this truth you will live in this world but not of this world. Thus, consciousness alone is real and eternal.

Remember:~

The Advaitic wisdom leads the seeker from darkness to light, from ignorance to wisdom, from unawareness of the ‘Self’ to Self-awareness, from unreality to reality.

Bhagavad Gita: 7: 19:~ Such a man who has attained Self-knowledge or the knowledge of Atman, hods Atman as God. Atman alone exists~ everything is Atman, there exists nothing except Atman.

All is consciousness. The whole universe is consciousness. From consciousness, the universe comes. When the universe disappears, consciousness still remains without form, time, and space

The Soul itself is God, the One without a Second:

The Soul is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth . The Soul or God in truth is present in the form of consciousness. Thus, consciousness itself is God in truth.

Even Bhagavad Gita says: ~ Brahmano hi pratisthaham ~ Brahman (God) is considered the all-pervading consciousness, which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material. (14.27).

Consciousness, the God in truth is Self-evident. It is not established by extraneous proofs. It is not possible to deny God in truth because God in truth is the very essence of the one who denies God in truth. God in truth is the basis of all kinds of knowledge, presuppositions, and proofs.

Even Rig Veda: ~ The Atman (Soul) is the cause; Atman is the support of all that exists in this universe. May ye never turn away from the Atman the Self. May ye never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman?"

Even in the Brihadaranyaka Upanishad: ~ Brahman (God) is present in the form of the Athma, and it is indeed Athma itself’.

The Vedas talk about Brahman (God) which refers to the ultimate truth or ultimate reality or Advaita. Consciousness is the Advaita or the ultimate truth, therefore, consciousness is the ultimate truth or Brahman. Brahman is Advaita, the God in truth. : ~Santthosh Kumaar

The Soul is not ‘I’.The ‘I’ is the whole universe.+

You and the world, in which you exist, are within the mind. From the standpoint of the Soul, the ‘Self, the mind is a dualistic illusion.

The Soul is present in the form of consciousness. Consciousness is the nondual substance and witness of the ‘I’, which comes and goes. The ‘I’ is the dualistic illusion.

The truth is hidden within the dualistic illusion (‘I’) and it is without the dualistic illusion (‘I’).

Bhagavad Gita: ~ The permanent is always there, only the transient ‘I’ comes and goes.” (2.18)

The Soul is not ‘I’. The Self is not the ‘I’. The Soul is the ‘Self’. The Soul, the Soul is the cause of the ‘I’ which appears and disappears.

You are seeking to realize the truth of your true existence. To discover the truth there is a need to understand the nature of the ‘I’.

Without knowing what this ‘I’ is supposed to be in actuality you will never be able to realize the truth, which is hidden by ignorance.

Till you hold the Self’ as the ‘I’ you will never be able to get Self-realization. ‘I’ hides the Soul, which is the Self’.

Know what this ‘I’ is first. Without realizing what this ‘I’ is supposed to be it is impossible for the Soul to free itself from the dualistic illusion or Maya.

The ‘I’ hides the truth of the whole. The ‘I’ hides the truth.

'I’ is ignorance.

‘I’ is the duality.

‘I’ is the form, time, and space together.

‘I’ is the universe.

‘I’ is the waking.

‘I’ is the dream.

‘I’ is the illusion.

‘I’ is the experience of birth, life, death, and the world.

Remember:~

Without the ‘I’ there is no ignorance.

Without the ‘I’ there is no duality.

Without the ‘I’ there is no form, time and space

Without the ‘I’ there is no universe.

Without the ‘I’ there is no waking.

Without the ‘I’ there is no dream.

Without the ‘I’ there is no illusion.

Without the ‘I’ there is no experience of birth, life, death, and the world.

That is why Ashtavakra Gita 16:10:~ If you desire liberation, but you still say ‘I', if you feel the ‘ Soul’ is the ‘I’, you are not a wise man or a seeker. You are simply a man who suffers.

It is no use going roundabout way; trace the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. consciousness is the cause of the world in which you exist and it itself is uncaused.

The Soul is the Source of the dualistic illusion (I) from where it rises and subsides. By tracing the source of the dualistic illusion (universe) one will be able to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

The idea of following the Gurus and their teaching belongs to the religion or yoga, not Spirituality or Adyathma.+

Renouncing the worldly life and accepting sannyasa or monkhood means incapacity to think deeper, and impotency to inquire and reason.

The idea of following the Gurus and their teaching belongs to the religion or yoga, not spirituality. In the path of wisdom, there is no need for any Guru or any teaching.

The seeker of truth must know the idea of becoming a sanyasi or a monk belongs to religion, not spirituality. Spirituality is based on the Soul, the Spirit, which is hidden by ignorance. The religion is based on ignorance.

Mixing religion with spirituality is like mixing oil in the water. Religion belongs to the dualistic illusion and religion has nothing to do with the spiritual truth hidden by ignorance.

By renouncing the worldly life and accepting sannyasa or monkhood, ignorance will be more and more deep-rooted.

Sticking to physical Gurus and their teaching is sticking to ignorance. By sticking to physical Guru and their teaching blocks you from transcending the dualistic illusion to nondualistic reality.

People believe that a Guru or mystic or priest has so many followers and therefore there must be some truth in their teaching, which is a common fallacy accepted by the masses due to their inherited conditioning. It proves only an ignorant can find a number of greater ignorant to follow him.

Gurus, Swamis, Yogis, and Sadhu, belong to religious and yogic paths. Guru, Swami, Yogi, and Sadhu, are nothing to do with the ultimate truth or Brahman. Gurus, Swamis, Yogis, and Sadhus are based on the false Self (ego), and false experience (waking).

If you are trying to become a Guru or Monk then you are unfit to acquire Self-knowledge. Someone posing as a Gnani, because he is some Gurus’ direct disciple cannot be a Gnani. Those who pose themselves as Gnanis are not Gnanis. A Gnani never poses himself as a Guru, a swami, a Sadhu or a yogi, or some Guru’s disciple.

Different Gurus and teachers are pointing out the understanding of the Advaitic truth from different standpoints. All such understanding of Advaita is on a dualistic perspective accumulated from here and there.

Sage Sankara: ~ "Though I wear these robes of a Sanyasin, it is only for the sake of bread."

Sage Sankara: ~ A Gnani "bears no outward mark of a holy man."

Thus, it proves that the religious gurus and yogis are not Gnanis because they identified themselves as holy people.

A Gnani never claims himself as a Gnani, he guides the seekers, not posing himself as a Guru, and he does not force his wisdom on others.

Advaita is not a theory or a philosophy. Advaita is the nature of the Soul the innermost Self. There is no need for any theory or philosophy or scriptures to acquire Self-knowledge. Only a perfect understanding of ‘what is what’ is needed.

Sage Sankara:~ 'Like a servant who carries a lamp in front of you to find your way, and you have found it, so becomes the Veda to that person. What is the Veda? ~ utterances of those who have known the Truth. Here is one who has known the Truth; why should he or she depend upon the Veda further? Actual realization takes you beyond books. At a certain stage, books become a botheration. The Upanishad itself says that the 'words are only so much of distraction for such minds'

Bhagavan Buddha: ~ Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders.

You need not become a Guru or a monk to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. You have not to renounce the world or to leave anything ~ your wife, children, job, responsibilities. You do not have to renounce anything! The only thing you have to realize is the truth, which is beyond form, time, and space by realizing that form, time, and space are the product of ignorance. When the ignorance vanishes, the unreality of the form, time, and space are exposed.

Upanishads says:~ "He who thinks he knows, does not know." This means that to know anything implies a second, an object of knowledge, hence duality, i.e. no Gnana.

Tripura Rahasya: ~ Second-hand knowledge of the Self-gathered from books or Gurus can never emancipate a man until its truth is rightly investigated and applied; only direct realization will do that. Realize yourself, turning the mind inward. (18: 89).

To acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana there is no Guru required. The seeker has to grow from the inside out. None can teach him none can make him spiritual. There is no other teacher but his own Soul.

In the path of wisdom, there is no need to follow anyone. The one who calls himself a Guru and the one who calls himself some Guru’s disciple will never be able to cross the threshold of dualistic illusion.

All these experiences as a father, son, Guru, and pupil along with the world in which they all exist were one and the same consciousness appearing differently. All these distinctions disappear when one realizes the ultimate truth. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

Knowledge of God in truth is Advaita because God in truth is Advaita, the one without the second.+

The ultimate truth or Brahman is God in truth. God in truth is not the religious God that people believe in and worship.

Sage Sankara says: ~ Atman is Brahman. Thus, the Soul the ‘Self’ is God. Therefore, all the Gods with form and attributes are merely imaginations based on the false self. Thus, there is adulteration and add-ons in the past, which have to be bifurcated if one wants pure Vedic essence.

Knowledge of God is Advaita because God is Advaita, the one without the second.

Understanding what is God in truth is not so easy. Religious people can only imagine God based on their inherited blind beliefs. All the blind belief-based Gods with form and attribute can exist within the domain of form, time, and space.

From, the ultimate standpoint form, time, and space are an illusion. From the ultimate standpoint Soul alone exists. The Soul is a formless, timeless, and spaceless existence.

God in truth is the Soul, the Self. God in truth becomes the universe (duality) in waking and the universe becomes God in truth in deep sleep (nonduality).

The universe is nothing but an illusion created out of Consciousness, which is God in truth. When you realize the ‘Self’ is not you but the ‘Self’ is the Soul, then there is no second thing that exists other than God in truth, which is present in the form of Consciousness.

Only when you realize God in truth you will realize the universe is nothing but God in truth because the universe is an illusion created out of consciousness., which is God in truth.

That is why Lord Krishna says Ch ~V: ~ “Those who know the Self in truth The last two words (tattvataha) are usually ignored by pundits, but they make all the difference between the ordinary concept of God and the truth about God.

Lord Krishna himself says that he can do nothing to make a man intelligent straight away. The adepts give Prasad, blessings, initiations, mantrams, etc. only to confer temporary peace of mind, to help one to get rid of worries, but not to confer Gnana. The capacity to receive it must first be inborn in man by evolutionary degree.

Bhagavad Gita: ~ ‘Brahmano hi pratisthaham’ ~ Brahman is considered the all-pervading consciousness which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material. ( 14.27)

There is no other God exists other than God, the Spirit, which is present in the form of consciousness.

Even Rig Veda: ~ The Atman is the cause; Atman is the support of all that exists in this universe. May ye never turn away from the Atman, the Self. May ye never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman?" (10:48, 5)

Even Brihadaranyaka Upanishad: ~ Brahman (God) is present in the form of the Athma, and it is indeed Athma itself.

Yajurveda – chapter- 32: ~ God is Supreme Spirit has no ‘Pratima’ (idol) or material shape. He cannot be seen directly by anyone. He pervades all beings and all directions. Thus, Idolatry does not find any support from the Vedas.

Yajurveda: ~ There is no image of God in truth. God in truth is unborn and eternal. (Chapter 32, Verse 3)
Yajurveda: ~ God in truth is nondual and pure."
Yajurveda: ~ "They are entering darkness, those who worship the natural things (like air, water, fire, etc.), they are sinking more in darkness who worship created things." (Chapter 40, Verse 9)

Thus, Idolatry does not find any support from the Vedas

Rig Veda: ~ 'Prajnanam Brahma'- Consciousness is the ultimate reality or Brahman or God in truth.

God in truth is the Atman, the Self. Atman is present in the form of consciousness.
Do not accept any other God other than Atman not worship other than Atman.
Let these words be inscribed in your subconscious.

Nothing is real but God. Nothing Matters but love for God in truth. God in truth is everywhere and in everything.
God in truth is hidden by the illusory universe. God in truth alone is and all else is an illusion.

Vedas and Upanishads confirm the Soul, the Self, is present in the form of the Spirit or consciousness.

Rig Veda 1/164/46: ~ “They call him Indra, Mitra, Varuna, Agni, or the heavenly sunbird Garutmat. The seers call in many ways that which is One; they speak of Agni, Yama, Matarishvan.

Rig Veda 8/58/2: Only One is the Fire, enkindled in numerous ways; only One is the Sun, pervading this whole universe; only One is the Dawn, illuminating all things. In very truth, the One has become the whole world

The Bible says: ~ “God is a Spirit, and they that worship God must worship God in Spirit and in Truth (John 4:24)”,

The Spirit is the root element of the universe. The Spirit is present in the form of the Soul, the Self. The Soul is present in the form of consciousness. From the Spirit, the universe comes into existence. In the Spirit, the universe resides. And into the Spirit, the universe is dissolved. The Spirit is the parent of all that is there is.

When the Upanishad says: the human goal is to acquire ‘Self’-Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana and they indicate the personal Gods, scriptures, worship, and rituals are not the means to ‘Self’ –Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana, then why anyone should indulge in it.

Realize right now right here the Soul, the Spirit is God. There is nothing to realize other than realizing the Self is not you but the ‘Self is the God the Spirit, which is present in the form of consciousness. Knowledge of God IN TRUTH is Advaita because God is Advaita, the one without the second. :~Santthosh Kumaar

The destiny is nothing to do with the Soul, which is birthless and deathless because it is unborn eternal.+

In a dream, the individual experiences of birth, life, death, and the word appears on its own and disappears on its own. The destiny of the dream entity is a reality within the dream.

Similarly, in the waking, the individual experience of birth, life, death, and the world appears on its own and disappears on its own. The destiny of the waking entity is a reality with the waking.

The dream becomes unreal when the waking takes place similarly the waking becomes unreal when you realize the Self is not you but the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

Destiny belongs to one who is born, lives, and dies within the world which is a dualistic illusion (waking) destiny has nothing to do with the Soul, which is birthless and deathless because it is the ever-formless, timeless, and spaceless existence.

The Soul is the witness of the coming and going of the three states. The Soul, the witness is permanent and eternal. The soul witnesses the coming and going of the three states

The ‘I’ appears as waking or dream (duality and disappears as deep sleep (non-duality). The ‘I’ is impermanent and illusory.

That is why Bhagavad Gita: ~ “The permanent (consciousness) is always there, only the transient ‘I’ comes and goes. (2.18)

Bhagavad Gita: ~ “You must first see the ‘I’ as illusory before you see others as illusory. ~ CH.2 v.16

Remember: the ‘Self is not ‘I’ or ‘I AM’. The ‘I’ or ‘IAM is an object to the Soul which is the ‘I-LESS’ subject.

Find out ‘what is this ‘I’ supposed to be an actuality.

The ‘I’ is present in the form of the mind.

The mind is present in the form of the universe.

The universe appears as a waking or dream (duality).

The ‘I’ is an object to the formless subject. It is necessary to include the universe in your inquiry to realize the unreal nature of the ‘I’, or the universe.

The ‘I’ hides the Soul, the Self, which is present in the form of consciousness.

Bhagavad Gita says: ~ ‘Brahmano hi pratisthaham’ ~ Brahman (God) is considered the all-pervading consciousness, which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material. (14.27).

When Bhagavad Gita says, God is considered the all-pervading consciousness which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material then nothing has to be accepted as God other than consciousness.

The Soul is the Self. The Soul is present in the form of consciousness. Consciousness is ever-present. Without consciousness, the world, in which you exist ceases to exist.

Consciousness is Self-evident. It is not established by extraneous proofs. It is not possible to deny consciousness because it is the very essence of the one who denies it. Consciousness is the basis of all kinds of knowledge, presuppositions, and proofs. Consciousness is everything. Thus, consciousness is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth.

The Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness, is real and eternal. The world in which we exist is an illusion created out of consciousness. : ~Santthosh Kumaar

There is no need to study Advaita Vedanta or Buddhism to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.+

There is no need to study Advaita Vedanta or Buddhism to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.

Ashtavakra:~There is no wisdom whatsoever in the scriptures-just a collection of words.

The seeker should not bother about finding the meaning of what is written in the scriptures.

Those who have mastered scriptural knowledge and think scriptural knowledge is the final will not be able to realize the truth, which is hidden by ignorance.

Sage Sankara: ~ 'Like a servant who carries a lamp in front of you to find your way, and you have found it, so becomes the Veda to that person. What is the Veda? ~ utterances of those who have known the Truth. Here is one who has known the Truth; why should he or she depend upon the Veda further? Actual realization takes you beyond books. At a certain stage, books become a botheration. The Upanishad itself says that the 'words are only so much of distraction for such minds'.

Sage Sankara:~ VC-63-"Without knowing and examining the external world, one can’t know the Truth, as the idea that the external world exists, won't go. It can go only by an inquiry into the nature of the external world.

There is no need to study Advaita Vedanta or Buddhism to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. All accumulated knowledge is of no use to realize the Advaitic truth beyond the form, time, and space.

There is no need to study Advaita Vedanta to realize the Advaitic truth beyond form, time, and space. Advaita is not a theory or a philosophy.

Advaita is the nature of the Soul, the Self. There is no need for any theory or philosophy or scriptures to acquire Self-knowledge. Only a perfect understanding of ‘what is what’ is needed.

There is no need to buy books of Sage Sankara in order to acquire Self-knowledge. Perfect understanding of what is needed. Nothing else is a need other than realizing the fact that, the form, time, and space are one in essence and that essence is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness in order to get the Advaitic Self-awareness.

Self-knowledge cannot be attained by the study of the scriptures and intellectual understanding or by bookish knowledge. Therefore, there is no use in studying the scriptures and other scriptures in order to acquire non-dual wisdom. That is why Bhagavan Buddha rejected the scriptures, and even Sage Sankara indicated that the ultimate truth lies beyond religion, the concept of God, and the scriptures.

That is why Sage Sankara said:~ Talk as much philosophy as you like, worship as many gods as you please, observe ceremonies, and sing devotional hymns, but liberation will never come, even after a hundred aeons, without realizing the Oneness.

There is only one Reality to be known, the same for all seekers, but the ways to it, are hidden by the religion. Self-discovery is the only way, towards the non-dualistic absolute without any religious doctrines, which will help the seekers to unfold the mystery of the illusion in which we all are searching for the truth of our true existence.

Sage Sankara said:~ Neither by the practice of yoga nor philosophy, nor by good works, nor by learning, does liberation come, but only through the realization that Atman and Brahman are one in no other way. (1) VivekaChudamani v 56, pg 25

The citations from scriptures are not proofs. The ultimate truth has to be proved without the scriptures. The ultimate truth is the universal truth and it does not belong to any religion. Religion causes diversity in unity, whereas, the ultimate truth brings unity in diversity.

That is why Sage Sankara himself says: ~ VC 59- The study of the scriptures is useless so long as the highest Truth is unknown, and it is equally useless when the highest Truth has already been known.

60. The Scriptures, consisting of many words are a dense forest that merely causes the mind to ramble. Hence, men of wisdom should earnestly set about knowing the true nature of the Self.

61. For one who has been bitten by the serpent of Ignorance, the only remedy is the knowledge of Brahman. Of what avail are the Vedas and (other) Scriptures, Mantras (sacred formulae), and medicines to such a one?

It is not that one should pore over the ancient scriptures. There is no need to study first, and then realize. One has to realize first, then only he will know ‘what is truth’ and ‘what is untruth’. One has to make his discoveries through the process of rational thinking.

That is why Sage Sankara says:~ V C:~65. As a treasure hidden underground requires (for its extraction) competent instruction, excavation, the removal of stones and other such things lying above it, and (finally) grasping, but never comes out by being (merely) called out by name, so the transparent Truth of the Self, which is hidden by Maya and its effects, is to be attained through the instructions of a knower of Brahman, followed by reflection, meditation and so forth, but not through perverted arguments.

It is not that one should pore over the ancient scriptures. There is no need to study first, and then realize. One has to realize first, then only he will know ‘what is truth’ and ‘what is untruth’. One has to make his discoveries through the process of rational thinking.

He who has not rectified his reasoning base from the ‘I’(form) base to ‘I-LESS ( Soul) base and one who does not have the intense urge to know the non-dualistic or Advaitic truth, and who is not tranquil and subdued and whose mind is not receptive, cannot acquire Self-Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

Sage Sankara: It is possible also to show the unreality of the object world even from pure reasoning.+

Sage Sankara founded his Advaita Vedanta either on reason independent of Sruti or on Sruti confirmed by reason."

Sage Sankara's commentary on the Manduka Upanishad, II, 1: This (the unreality of duality) is borne out by the Srutis ... But it is possible also to show the unreality of the object world even from pure reasoning, and this second chapter is undertaken for that purpose.

Sage Sankara himself had often said that his philosophy was based on Sruti, or revealed scripture. This may be because Sage Sankara addressed the ordinary man, who finds security in the idea of causality and thus in the idea of God—and Revelation is indispensable to prove the latter. He believed that those of superior intelligence, have no need for this idea of divine causality, and can, therefore, dispense with Sruti and arrive at the truth of Non-Dualism by pure reason.

Sage Sankara, in debates with Buddhists and others who did not recognize the authority of the Vedas, had been obliged to prove the truth of Advaita by means of reason alone. Manduka Upanishad, a scripture that appealed to reason to the exclusion of Revelation.

Sage Goudpada wrote his Manduka Karika to establish the truth of Non-duality by sheer reasoning alone. He begins by defining "What is real?" "What is unreal?", etc, because that is the right way to discuss or teach. People must first know what they are talking about.

Some Gurus describe perfection as the awakening to Reality—the realization that pure Consciousness alone is, that the perpetually fluctuating and evanescent contents of the mind derive from it.

This awakening effectively happens in an instant. But in order for the lightning flash to take place, resulting in a firm and unshakable certitude, long labor is necessary, which they seem to underestimate. “Truth is formless” is their answer.

Their teaching seems essentially negative, potent but bitter medicine for those imprisoned by institutional cults. They break the seekers’ bonds but then lead him to a vast desert where he abandons him. The ultimate state of consciousness they describe is that of the traditional sage or fully enlightened being, but they do not show us the process leading to the realization of this state. These Gurus describe marvelously the goal but do not indicate the steps to be taken: their recurring phrases "unified consciousness" and "let go" are not a road map.

These Guru's approach was more practical, and they stuck with the reality of the world, they take it as real. Thus, these Gurus knew only half-truths because that is a fallacy of the ego (form) they never realized the fallacy of time and space.

That is why Sage Sankara says in the commentary in Vedanta-sutra that what is accepted without a proper inquiry will not lead a person to the final goal. On the contrary, such acceptance will result only in evil, in something which is detrimental to our spiritual progress.

Seekers of truth should not believe blindly in traditional orthodox nonduality without verifying all the facts from every angle. One has to reflect through reasoning over and over again without getting tired of the process. :~Santthosh Kumaar
